Bloodlines did indeed utilize it. I hope SiN 2 has as many interactions with the enviroment as SiN did. SiN was like the precursor to Deus Ex.

They look great. Ill be getting this for sure. Still cant decide, should i wait for retail or get it on steam? They said they MIGHT release a retail pack later.
 
I am going to have to partially agree with Pi Mu Rho here, but then, that woman is supposed to be a police woman, yet she goes around with her thong sticking out and in tight clothing to show off her polygons. I don't give a shit about that and just find it annoying. I would rather see her in a proper uniform or urban combats then a bloody strippers uniform.

Which seems more realistic and would bring you more into a game?
a) your side kick being a sexy woman who wears urban combats, kneepads, body armour, helmet and rifle
b) your side kick being a stripper who moonlights as your sidekick and carries an oversized novelty pistol.

But then, it the game developers doing this and you screwed your chance of putting things right by not not adding strippers in your game Pi Mu Rho :'(.
 
Has the Source engine deteriorated? Looks like ass compared to HL2.

On a serious note, I have just read the PCGUK preview of this and I am suddenly very excited about this. I have longed for a game for ages where I can both run and gun with some cheesy lines, while still being able to enjoy the graphics and have a certain level of class to it. This could fit the bill.
 
in that article they also hinted at a full sin port.

so everyone would get to play the first one on source.

Am I the only one who's really not that impressed by this?

Meh, just doesnt tickle my fancy. The highway scene right there looks like fun tho, just to see the ragdolls fall out into the road, get run over/hit by cars.

Otherwise the game just looks too...cartoony ;(

Yeah i heard that too. Apparently its in the mansion level and you need to turn on noclip to see it.
 
Damn, I was hoping they would go more along the HL² road (making it alot more realistic), using source and all, shame tho, I might have liked it.

Cuz to be honest, I think the art suxx, I mean look at that sjit (shit), it looks like a game for young teens (artwise).
 
I prefer cartoony art in video games. I mean afterall once people hit photorealism, then where do you go? Besides HL2 had a similar look to me, I mean Alyx's face looks damn fake to me.
 
I think a lot of people are confusing cartoony with stylized.

Anyway, the game looks great. I've always wanted live, people-filled city streets in Source, and now we got them. Graphics look fine as well.

i know it will be available over Steam but i really hope they go retail as well.
otherwise i may not get it mainly because i won't be able to via Steam.
 
Episodes as in like different chapters? How much play time do you think I will get with one episode?
 
I can't imagine a game completely forgoeing retail, but I'm guessing it would come after the game is completely released. You could sell it through retail in boxed increments, but I can't imagine many people going for that.

Each chapter will cost about $20 - £10 and lasts about 6 hours. I think that's fair game.
