Voodoo Extreme has been given a bit of new info on SiN episodes from the projects lead designer, Shawn Ketcherside. It's all mostly talk of ironing out some bugs, being minor, they are easily fixable.
Our bug count fluctuates on a day to day basis, but we're closing them out much faster than we're finding them, so we're getting very close. Also, the kinds of bugs were finding at this point are very minor. Usually small cosmetic things - textures misaligned, lighting that needs to be adjusted, that sort of thing...

[br]Now, this time you have to actually click on the links I've provided you. Voodoo Extreme has been given an exclusive screenshot of Emergence for you to feast upon and I will only post a smaller version of that image.[br]To read the rest of Shawn Ketcherside’s update, as well as download the latest screenshot (1600x1200 resolution!), head on over to this tiny article at VoodooExtreme.com.

I'm sure they could of spared some more polygons on that car.

Ya that screenshot doesnt look all that great. But that doesnt matter cause every other shot looks amazing! Plus ill be picking this up 100%.

The whole scene seems a little low-poly. There's very little detail where the buildings meet the sea...

But the scene in general is very, very nice. I personally really like the look of the sky against the skyscrapers.

By the way, here is the 1600X1200 version: 1600X1200

from the article:
We're also putting the finishing touches on the Steam version of the original SiN, which you'll be able to unlock and play right away when you preorder SiN Episodes: Emergence.

^^I remember it was a cool game.

The skyscrapers themselves are pretty nice too. :)

Erm, what's the point of uploading it on ImageShack?

I think that pic is one of the worst I've seen of the game, most of it is the skybox though afaik.

They have to know that car looks like shit... I can model and texture a nicer car than that by myself... There must be a reason it looks so bad. The UV maps are horribly off, and the polygons really need to be rethought.

Maybe because this model isn't meant to be seen up close but at a distance and only has a short part in the game and they were possibly crunched with time and had to produce this image quickly...I dunno just a thought.

Speaking for all the game developers in the world which we hardly ever praise for their hard work. Sometimes they have bad days too.
