Hi, I just started doing animations, so I decided to try out Frame-By-Frame animation. This is a frame-by-frame animation of a dude free-falling (wearing a parachute pack, or so he thinks), and is 113 frames long at 9 FPS. Please go easy on it, as it was meant to appear like a sketch, and the program I used didn't have onion skins or cop-paste. I redrew all 113 frames freehand as best as I could.

If you didn't understand some things (Highlight after watching!):
That's a dog coming out of his parachute, and the thing in his thought-bubbles was him afraid of not pulling his parachute out in time and missing the landing-zone

Comments and suggestions!

thought-bubbles goes too fast !

Rest is quite good

Yeah, I was afraid thought bubbles went too fast. Thanks for the support, guys!

P.S. This is what I do when I'm not working on Gordon's Dead. :E

Very nice! I wanted more impact when he hit the ground, though..and a poof of dust. Inspiring peice though... makes me want to do some animation!

What program did you use? Hehe, I wanna go :p

I used Corel Painter, but I might as well have used MSPaint and a GIF Image Animator. I had to redraw every frame from scratch, which wasn't easy. But it was fun. If you want to see one of my earlier works, you can see it here:

EDIT
-----
And I'll see if I can modify it to add impact and dust or something. :E :farmer:

Cool animation. Reminds me of when I drew a skydiving animation as a flipbook . . .

I used to do sticky-note flipbooks. I've progressed to the electronics now. Lol.
