After the great calamity of 30th September a gloomy age has come upon the devs as well as the fans. Many gave up and there was much despair among the both. But we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, we, who haven't lost the faith nor trust in VALVe which regrouped and did something that many other would give up. But even after this year's E3 some had some doubts in the game's superiority with which I cannot agree. Do you think that HL2 will rise and shine in all its glory when unleashed upon us?

I think HL2 will be one of the most entertaining peices of media in human history.

It should be good...

Im more looking forward to halo 2 and the sims 2 though.

Yes.

I never did understand the sims thing. I have a real life to deal with...

Ye i think it will be a stepping stone in the gaming undustry, it will deffently lead to bigger things in the future and will be remembered for a long time

Yuppo. The Sims 2 is going to rock, I can't wait...but I still love HL2.

I'm holding 100€ to buy HL2 SE for a year.

Never give up....

Can any 1 post me a info site to sims2, nvr seen and screen or wot ever of it b4

Rome:Total War also looks good, but not as good as hl2 (totally different tho)

Thnx, doesn't look that special IMHO

But i wasnt a fan of the original or the expansions so there ya go :) (cept locking people in rooms then burning them to death....)

I only expect Half-Life 2 to be fun. No more, no less. If it isn't fun, then I'll be dissapointed.

It will be, because six years after HL1, no one has yet made a better FPS. At best, other games get one or two things right, but HL1 gets all of them right. Valve GETS it in a way that really no one else does, and it shows. How amazing it will be when the vision is hooked up to bleeding-edge tech.

The one thing I love about Valve is that they know their sh*t. I love it. They aren't money hungry and will never release a game early because of a deadline and they really have creative people in their company. They know what we want, they know how to do it, and they don't settle for the lowest common denominator.

Yes. GO VALVE.

the thing i liked about valve was there ability to put things in games that i was surprised at, the tentacles in the rocket area for example. I'd never seen anything like it before. And having played a shitload of games before HL not alot came along that i hadn't already done in some way or another. bloody genious it was.

"[Half-Life 2] shall rise again, like a magnificent Phoenix... or some other town in Arizona. Hehehe."

Name that movie!

I think HL2 will be the best game ever made, storywise as well as gfx.

Yep...ditto. As for the Sims 2, I'm dreading it's release. It will spawn another endless chain of expansion packs, milking out the concept as far as is physically possible. Also, it will probably dominate the charts for another 3 years, taking up space of good, original, imaginative games.....but it may struggle aginst HL2....hopefully.

Maybe they can get with valve and make "The Sims: Source" :x

"Maybe they can get with valve and make "The Sims: Source""

LOL!!! The stuff nightmares are made of.

Very nice sig by the way.

Yes, it's sad when you see what kind of games most people play  Sims, get a life! :flame:

The thing I cant belive about VALVE is that they reply to your endless stream of e-mails. Now that is is dedication to their customer base. On the other hand we have EA :flame: if any of you have BF vietnam you will know what I mean.

Half-life 2 and Rome total war are my MOST eagerly waited games in the past two years. They are both equals in my heart, and I will play them both the same. No favorites as far as those two go!

"My employers agree with me that Valve has.... limitlesssss potential...."

I think that eventhough the leak was all over the internet the damage wasn't so big as it is commonly thought. The leak didn't have much influence on me, actually only added on the hype.
