I meant in more legal terms. I'm well aware that mental illness can severely restrict peoples lives, I didn't think however that in the eyes of the law it is. Can you get disability benefit for depression? For Agra-Phobia?

I don't think so. I always thought disabilities needed to have a physical cause.

Again, depends on the severity. For Schizophrenia, definitely. And btw, quite a few mental illnesses are thought to have a physical cause. I mean, they couldn't exist otherwise, in my point of view.

As I said though, my intention was not to mock or insult those with a mental illness, I was trying to say sommat like "maybe she was one of those tens of people I run into, who flaunt some sort of depressive or anxiety esque illness for attention, but don't actually do anything to fix the disorder", as I run into ALLOT of people like that.

IE Over the summer, I once saw this girl bust out her pills in the middle of class (well, the pills means help, but the same idea of flaunting it for attention), and you could TELL that the only reason she took out her bottle in the middle of an off section of class, was to get everybody to ask, "WOW! What are those for?".

I think someone once said:
