What are my options? And what color should i get it in?

http://www.tunerworks.ca/products/index.php?id=115

Iv been told around 30,000. Now if i buy the rx-7 then work my way up adding piece by piece or just buy it and pay it off. Dunno, iv already asked a few sellers for a quote.

http://www.bugatti-configurator.com/

Has a good color configurator.

The crazy color ideas:

1. Lemon, Deep RED M
2. White, Lemon
3. Lemon, Dark Greem M
4. Red M, Black Blue M
5. Bright Silver M, Lemon
6. Blue M, Black Blue M
7. Red M, Black M
8. Green M, Ebony M

Any better ideas? Im open to suggestions. Types of cars, body kits, cost to style to performance.

11,000 For body kit if i were to buy it seperate. http://www.body-kitz.com/index1.html

How about just buy everything in the Steam store?
Not that anyone told me to tell you that.
Nor did that person give me 10 bucks.

I already have everything in the steam store tho.....

im confused....you would pay 11,000 dollars for a body kit? Especially Veiside?

Mazda speed all the way man...much better quality stuff. I know because i just put one on a rx-8

Got an idea, lets not destroy another FD with such a crappy body kit as that. Unless said FD is just a show car don't even waste your money, if you **** it up you'll be paying out the ass to fix it. Not worth any of the hassle.

i wouldnt put a body kit on...seems as though they can get easily wrecked going over crappy roads...besides the stock RX7 looks bad ass already.

That looks to plain to me, Plus the rx-8 looks like shit stock as well. Im going for a more super car look. Very flashy and sporty.

True, but i really like that bodykit. Plus by crappy roads what do you mean. Im in NYC and there are pot holes everywhere true. But im sure if im care full it wont be that bad. Its not like im going off road..

Anyway this is what i made the thread for, tips. So keep them coming. Show me some body kits as flashy and supercar like that are better maybe?

You really really really sound like a rich ass right now.

Mean while I'll be lapping you on the race track with my home built 3,500 dollar race car.

Body kits don't add horsepower.

You really really really sound like a rich ass right now.

Im not, simple. I work for what i want and i spend money on things most people think are stupid.

Your point? I can give to shits if you can lap me in a race. I don't care how much horsepower my car has, i only care what color to paint it. If i had 5000 to add to the car, what do you think i will spend it on? Parts to make it "perform" better, or better rims?

When it comes to cars its looks then performance. I have no interest in racing my car. So congrats on being "Able" to lap me.

So you're gonna be a poser ricer who drives around in a stock car that looks like a tuner

get a tough rusty metalic heavy car

one that the engine makes more noise that a ambulance, that made your neighbors angry at the 4 am in the morning

that you crash over something and the damage make it look cooler that before

whit a interior that feel like sandpaper and that made your hands bleed while touching

the most close option to that is the tipical 70'ish american muscle car but sure there is more stuff aound
like a classic cadillac of the 60's or near
or those boxy cars of the 80's,just put better engines
or something more rough like a suv but a old real 4x4 suv not the modern suburb subs

and dont come whit me about gas mileage cuz it seem that wouldnt be a problem for you

How am i being a poser? You don't buy good looking cars to race. Not everyone who likes the way cars look wants to race them. As i said before, i can give to shits if someone can beat me in a race. Funny thing is no one will ever know. Why? Because i wont EVER RACE! Racing cars to me is boring, stupid, dangerous. Especially in New York, if i wanted rig my car to be insanely fast i CAN do that, i just don't want to.

Huh?

I give that car 18 days before it's snatched up.

If he wants his car to look good, but doesn't care about performance, that's his business. It may be a bit cheezy, but if all he cares about is a cool looking car without spending TONS of money along the way . . . well, whatever makes him happy. If he starts pretending to have performance when he doesn't (a.k.a. annoying fart-can exhaust), then that's another issue.

I personally am not interested in more "ricey" styles, though veilside does produce some of the nicer rice (which everyone else rips off). Until I get my company started, there's not much I can do about it yet though, lol.

Im not, simple. I work for what i want and i spend money on things most people think are stupid.

I simply cannot imagine how sitting in a slow ass car that looks fast is exiting to anyone at all. If you want something that "looks fast and sporty" than go and buy a model of the car at Wal Mart for 16.99. I find it hilarious that you would drop 30 grand on a car or 10 grand on a body kit of all things. Never have I heard of such an intense waste of money.

Here's how you can save some money! Just do what everyone else does that has the same idea on car performance vs "looks" as you do!

Go and buy a 1990 Honda Civic - $500

Install some 4.5" exhaust pipe and a fart can exhaust can that could swallow a watermelon. - $600

Go to your buddies house that has that Oxyfuel cutting torch and cut your springs so your car's unibody scrapes the ground. - $10 bucks (for the propane)

Drive your "Honduh" to the local Pick-N-Pull and yank off a body kit from some other wrecked Honda. Make sure it's not the same Model/Year as your own. You're going to want to trim the body kit so it is "Custom" - $200

Head back to Pick-N-Pull and find a wrecked 98 Supra (Yeah right) and pull off it's Spoiler. Bolt it onto your Honda. (Be careful at the drive thru, they have height limits!) - $100

Go to a paint shop and get a semi-transparent green (swamp thing green) with gold flake that transgresses to bright orange as it gets to the rear of the car. - $2,000 (If you're lucky)

Go to kragen auto parts and buy a blow off valve, and then hook it up to your exhaust so it sounds like you have a turbo - $45

Total: !!!$3455!!!

And you still get the EXACT SAME IMAGE that you're looking for! :D

why even get an RX-7,search places like Optimum Autos, get a Supra
or a Mazda 3
for the $$$ your willing to pay, theres quite a bit of better vehicles you can buy

Ok, i might have came off the wrong way. Reading the last few posts i know what you guys are now thinking i am.

I AM NOT the guy with the loud retarded looking piece of shit on the street. AS a matter of fact i hate that as well.

I said I'm going for looks 1st then performance. I want to get the look and then I'm going to work on performance. Now that doesn't mean I'm going to build a super performance car. My top priority is still looks. That purple car looks very nice btw. What is it?

Now look i don't know shit about cars, that's why i made this thread. I need the help to make the right choices. I just want to make it clear that look > faster. I have friends that are helping me out as well, but I'm posting here to get the most info possible.

Out of all the cars i have seen, the rx-7 with the VEILSIDE looked the best to me.

This pretty much how it is done around here. Central cal or so cal, we'll have those Honda types.

"Ohhh u hear his v tec crack?"

"Damn he chirped all the way to 3rd gear!"

why the hell would he pick a mazda 3 over an RX 7? fool...

asuka, I think you should get nice rims and lower your car first before you go out and spend money on a bodykit. See how it looks without the bodykit and then decide if you want to put one on from there. That's how I'd go about it.

Because think about it, a car that is lowered a big and has nice rims looks better than a car that has a body kit but stock rims...

Thats probably what im going to end up doing, unless i get a good price for a prebuilt. Now just to clear something up. I cant get rims after the body kit? Or was that just a preference on order?

oh no you can get rims anytime lol. I was just going on what is more important for me. I'd get rims and lower my car first before putting on a body kit.

Not bad at all. How much?

Car was around 18, body kit was around a grand, got the windows tinted more, strakes cost about 100....im not really sure how much ive put into it.

Im selling it soon though and getting a lancer

It's a Corvette C6 with a Gryphon "Raptor" body kit on it. It's not "real" though, just a 3D computer model I designed. I was going for both an exotic look and an aggressive look. I'm working on a slightly similar idea, but a more complete design, integrating some great Ideas I had recently into my "Siren" concept.

I'm saving up money right now and hope to produce the Raptor kit in 1.5 to 2 years.

don't hate the 3
IMO,it looks hot, and, with a little tuning,is really fast, plus, the MazdaSpeed kit makes it look amazing

The entire idea of buying a japanese car, a body kit screams of "ricer" or what we call people like that in Finland "amis".

No matter what car you buy, what body kit you buy and even if you "tune" your car you will be a ricer, poser and an idiot. Only people interested in tuning cars will be interested in you or think that your car looks cool. It's not that it's bad looking, it's just that films like fast and the furious and games like NFS make everyone tuning or driving a tuned car look like idiots.

Building your own car? That's cool. Buying a car, bolting some plastic on it to make it "look cool" is not cool. Invest your monies, wait a few years and buy a cool cool looking car. Not a crap car and a bodykit to make it look cool.

Im not interested in doing this for other people, it looks nice to me. Yes i learned about the car in F&F but who cares, it just caught my eye. I defiantly understand your point tho.

Now by "wait a few years and buy a cool cool looking car." What cars do you have in mind?

be original

I know its hard cuz you are so used to like what the majority likes but is not that hard

As a matter of fact like half the people i know like something different. This specific car appeals to me.

The Lotus Exige and Elise spring to mind. The Elise is apparently 46 grand new in the US, so not that far above your current budget. It has a small enginge, but huege performance (0-60 in 4.9 sec iirc in it's cheapest form). If you want the looker, get the exige.

So wait you don't want to use the RX-7 to what its truely designed for, and just want to throw a body kit on it? Another one down the drain....You're missing the potential those 13b-rew's have. My friend was throwing down 408rwhp and it was a blast to ride in...

I strongly disagree; while it is true of most (97%), it's not universally true. It is technically possible to improve a car's looks by replacing body-panels with ones that have a better design.

Unfortunately there aren't many, but fortunately for me, that leaves a VERY open market, lol.

why does it matter if he wants to add a body kit? I dont understand how the faster the car, the better it is...

Theres a pretty damn good reason why mazda threw twin turbos on those cars and just didn't leave it NA...

I don`t really know what your price range is, but I`d get a BMW M7 and this particular model has a really nice body kit and rims as well..i`d get rid of the spoiler tho or lower it at least but nonetheless it looks amazing:
