So i bought Halo today...

wow, what an adventure. Today at lunch i ran out to the local GameStop to pick up a copy of Halo (although i much rather have been spending my money on HL2). It was funny because i came in and asked about it and they said Halo hadent come in yet, although it was supposed to be ther today. I waited around a few minutes and talked to the guy, and just for fun got his random date for HL2. The computer said Feb 12th or so, and the guy brought up that Texas thing. He said he got to play a little of HL2, and although he had never played HL1 before said he wanted to buy it right there the minute he played. I tried asking him what kind of things he saw or what kind of level it was but he just kinda went on to somthing else. Anyway at that minute the FedEx truck pulled up and delivered Halo. I got the first one of the day there, w00t!

anyway (again), just thought id share my adventure and what the random gamestop employee said this time.

oh, yeah, i was talking about PC Halo. i havent gotton to play it yet as im on my last hour at school right now. i wish i could install it to the media center computer but it would look a little odd...heh.

yeah, halo is cool.
i finished SP and thought it was kinda lame there were no real big monsters... just the same ones from the mid to the end of the game.

but MP is sooooooooooo cool!
the vehicles are awesome, especially the banshee imo.
and it's great to drive a warthog (?) with a gunner in the back of your car and someone in the seat next to you slaughtering the other team!

It's pretty good but before you read it pick upa copy of Halo:The Fall of Reach. Pretty good book and a prequel to Halo. It takes you to the Master Chief's training and beginning and what happend to the SPARTANS.

its a good game but i think the problem is its too serious sam and not enough game. using vehicles was the best part for me and what makes it stick out. Also the npc are funny to listen to.

Ok, Halo for high end machines is truthfully crapolla folks. I cant run it more than 800x600. And it sure looks dated. And for those that havnt played the SP (like myself) It is just another BORING shooter. I dont think im inclined to even finsh it..........MP has allot of issues but is somewhat fun, i guess. My advice, well, yet another wait..... for Halo 2.

Oh MAN... I just picked up Halo two hours ago. And lemme tell you, the MP is truly awesome. It doesn't run great on my system (850mhz, 384mb ram, 128mb vid card) but if I turn all the details down it doesn't look too bad and runs pretty well. I just finished playing an hour of Boarding Action team-slayer, it was only 6 people but it was much more fun than any other 6-player multiplayer match I've played in any game in my entire life.

You do need a good system to run it at full tilt, but even on the lowest detail settings it's a hell of a time playing it.

TheMachine, I would recommend this game wholeheartedly to you and everyone out there. Hell, if you don't like it, just return it and you get your money back. I highly doubt you'll need to do that though

No bots But playing against real people is much more fun IMO... it's completely random which strategies people will use in games, rather than having a small set amount of strategies or tactical intelligence.
