So I tried some beer finally

Anyone interested in getting a handle on the more subtle facets of booze - particularly British booze - could do a lot worse than check out a little series called 'Oz and James Drink to Britain'. It's an entertaining run through of everything drinks related, from the complexities of tasting to the manufacturing processes involved, a little bit of talk about the mass commercialism of the drinks industry vs. craft brewing, etc... It's up on Youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Focihh26R-kThe series gets better as it goes on and they dabble in a bit of everything in the course of the series; beer, whisky, wine, gin, cider, perry. It's a bit of a pain that they appear to be restricted from referring to specific larger brand names, though.

Beer rocks. Especially the wide variety of awesome ales and ciders that you just can't seem to get outside of south-west England. I'd really miss that if I ever moved from here, seems to be a very regional thing.

Guisiness is lovely, a great whiskey is amazing, but mix it with anything but water (at room temperature) and I'll have your head.

Funny this thread should come up. Last night while bowling I was having a Bud and for the first time in my life beer actually tasted decent. Not like the first time I drank beer and spat it out and said I would never drink this shit.

Top 5 favorite beers:

Hoegaarden
Red Stripe
Heinekein
Blue Moon Spring Ale
Becks

I unfortunately have not been able to try the many imported beers my liquour store throws at me. But one day...

Don't drink beer made of shit. Problem solved.

if you can't enjoy a good beer, then *shrug*

Shiner Bock FTW.

Bud is pretty good compared to most American beer. Personally, I don't like the foreign beers that are skunky. I live nearby Yuengling "America's Oldest Brewery", so I drink Yuengling. Give it a try. I'm drinking one right now, getting ready to make dinner.

I hate beer too man, I do drink but when I do it's liquor or mixed drinks, not beer.

I'd always rather blaze than drink though. Much healthier and more responsible.

And much more illegal.

Not too much longer. Give it 5-10 years. Less for medical to spread nationally, already passed here twice through voter referendum but the state gvnmt suppressed the spirit of the law through loopholes in the bill's legal writing (no dispensaries yet so its useless)

next year itll be on the AZ ballot again with the legal wording perfect to get medical set up like Cali and I will get myself one of those cards so I'm legal.
