CS:S is coming out, what's up with the SDK??

Even though Valve will see more short term profit by releasing cs:s, they would definitely gain more long-term profit if mod teams had the SDK.

It'd be nice if the SDK came out with CS:S, that way by the time *I* get HL2 retail, there may be some sort of multiplayer mods out other than CS:S.

I really hope they don't pull some sort of marketing idea on the SDK where you have to apply for it or something, at least after hl2 is released......it better be available to everyone, i wonder how powerful the new hammer editor (worldcraft for us mapping vets) will be.

"CS:S released in a few days" announced a few hours ago and now it's where's the *@** SDK?

give them time to get the game released already. it takes a long time to make a good mod. a few more weeks won't matter.

That's my point, technically HL2 is shipping, just the multiplayer. Its different in the legal sense, but unless in the contract Valve has said they wont release the SDK prior to HL2, it is most certainly possible.

yeah they did.. but as we know, Valve say alot of things and not all of them happen
i hope the SDK is released ASAP since theres no HL2 themed MP
that should give modders a chance to get something out soon.. although i dunno how soon "soon" really means since i don't know anything about mapping/modding.
