I don't think it makes sense because these private messages take up almost no room on your servers yet having to constantly remind people that their inbox is full (by posting on their profile page) is a real inconvenience. I can't count the number of times I tried to send someone a private message or they tried to send me one but the inbox was full.

I do understand we can back this stuff up but having all your messages in a CSV file is not quite the same as having it in your inbox with all the working links you need along with a message history.

Even if you set it to something like 1000 I doubt it will cause you any pain resource wise, but atleast doubling it would be nice.

Well I think you have much more power in this area than I do. When I asked Pi a few months back he acted like I was retarded, maybe you would have more sway. And 200 would be much better, that way you get 100 for your inbox and 100 for your outbox (since every time you send a message it is saved).
