Some stuff i've noticed & felt like posting...

In the hl2-trainstation bink, when a citizen starts talking about trains never arriving, on the departs schedule board he's looking at, the title is "Trens". What does this mean? A mispelling of 'Trains'?

Did a google, a few results tells me that in Portuguese "trens" = "trains"


Next, if you recall the 2nd test, when we typed "...move=gman", there was some picture about milk. I still dont get why that was there for gman. Maybe he is lactose intolerant. But in the tenements bink... - (milk&crate.jpg)

In the trainstation bink, when we get off the train, there is some graphiti on the train exterior. Some of the graphiti says what appears to be "a gun" OR "agun". Also, notice that Nike logo looking thing near the "a gun"... (graphiti - agun.jpg).

And again in the tenements bink, though the Nike logo looks less Nike ticky now... (agun niketick.jpg)

Back to the trainstation again, and what is this! I count 3 bullet holes in some train window panels.. Could Gordon have been in a shootout before he reached that trainstation? - (query bullethole.jpg & query 2bulletholes.jpg)

Hold on I havent finished my image posting yet...

Remaining in the trainstation, looks like Dr Breen's Got his own private reserve of liquid refreshment, how strange... (dr breens private reserve.jpg)

I recall talks of C17 being in Russia or something. In the trainstation bink, after the woman says "...only ones on that train?" and just past Dr Breen's Private Reserve, there is.... (query russian.jpg)


One last thing i'd like to say.. The combine are pretty strange in that they seem to be promoting theirselves, putting up posters around buildings, like this (CMB dove.jpg). And what is with their font. It's alien to me, but the one in that picture (CMB dove.jpg), looks like it could be saying "CMB" as in CoMBine".

Amusing that it has the Dove there. As if it's trying to say being with the Combine is being free. Hmm..

There's also the other poster which appears to have a crowd of people either worshipping or protesting against the Combine.

I think the person just had some milk. Not all too uncommon.

Graphiti and bullet holes on the train? It went through some bad neigborhoods.
Repetitious phrases in graphiti? Maybe it's a common word in City 17.
Alot of graphiti I've seen is pretty repetitious.
On one wall:
"Your mom"
On the opposite wall:
"Your mom"

As you said, it could either be DEPK or DELK but I think its DELK since the third letter has a little curve at the bottom left - indicating an upper-case "L"

but what i really think is that hl2 is very mysterious with g-man and the alien conflicts ,i mean there's no beginning nor an end...how barney and dr. kleiner knew gordon wuz coming to city17 is mysterious too so...i guess there gonna explain it in the expansions perhaps..maybe u start playing right after the black mesa incident.It's all possible i guess, i really hope they release the expansions soon ( i think in spring but hey, i still have hope )...

Those russian letters at the small picture are not russian at all. Those are Greek (my opinion - there is Epsilon letter and that is not russian). It seems to me, that there is mix of cultures in City 17. All those people are pressed into one homogenic comunity...

Well, I'm supposed to and I know much, but I do not know all of russian letters. But I am almost sure it is not in russian alphabet. I'm gonna search that up...to see what your future is...

Well I found a site with russian alphabet and there was no Epsilon letter in it, so it is definitely Greek (or Baltic, some of those nations may have some mix of those alphabets).. unless, of course, someone from Russia proves me wrong...

Uh, gASK...

First letter: First letter in the list, pronounced ah or "A" as in car.

Second Letter: Sixth letter in the list, pronounced yeh or "Ye" in yet.

Third Letter: 13th letter in the list. Pronounciation: ehl, or "L" as in lamp....or, 17th letter pronounced peh, or "P" as in pot. From the pic, I'd say ehl.

Fourth Letter: 12th letter in the list, pronounced kah or "K" in kitten.

Gordon never walked to the trainstation or anything, in case you remember, you are teleported there (or so it seems), because that guy is like "I didn't see you get on). Being teleported into the train, is that from the teleporter at the end of HL1?
