Source cracked Help to mail Gabe please!

I was scouring the net to find out where those pesky "Cracked Counter-strike: Source" sites were, and found two. I e-mailed Gabe with them, but he never replied, and the sites weren't shut down. Can some of you email Gabe or whoever should be e-mailed with the sites so they will take notice and ban them/ sue them/ send two burly convicts round to their house?

I think gabe doesnt do that could be one of this employers... and it takes alot of time to take a site down... so who knows mayb today or tomorrow the site will be off!

I emailed Gabe with details of a site supplying instructions to crack CS:CZ to play CS:S aswell as fake CD keys and fake mastercard details.
around 2 days later I got an email back saying it was fixed, the exploit no longer worked and the russian site had been shut down.
A day or so later many steam accounts that had used the exploit were banned .

Oh, I tried it after Gabe said it was fixed and it didnt work, I didnt try it before for obvious reasons. Maybe it was a different exploit / different way to do the exploit / I did it wrong.

Thanks guys, I guess it will. Except for the fact I emailed him like ages ago. And it's annoying because the Company have to give their employers money, who then feed themselves/family. So basically when you get cracked games, you starve a family. S'true...

so whats the problem with more people testing the game? if its gonna come free with hl2, 99% these people are going to be buying hl2. the reason they are playing it is becuase they dont wanna pay for the awful CZ.
i just use my friends steam account to play it because that guy doesnt have the internet at the moment. i didnt pay for it. im not worried, nor would i be if i was playing the cracked version, because i most certainly would if none of my friends had cz.
if you hate people getting things for free, how about you hang out down at the local supermarket and squal on everyone you see shoplifting, then go to kazaa's main webserver and get at it with an axe, then go for suprnova's as well. i think you dont because you dont care about things being stolen, as the mp3s on your computer are most likely a testament to, and are just anal about halflife2 because you think that if you are then gabe will give you a big wet kiss or something.

I suggest you stop posting in this thread as you are digging your own grave. A business like Valve needs to make money. The gaming industry is one of the biggest industries, and a tough one too. Good ecomomy = survival. If you don't want to see valve survive, just stop buying the games. I enjoy every second of playing valve's games, so I don't mind supporting them by buying things THEY MADE.

Making a game actually cost something. I suppose you didn't know that.

Yes, I do know that. Which is why VALVe probably lost a chunk of money because no one bought Condition Zero. They figured that if they made it to where only people who bought Condition Zero could get Source, all the little chittlins would run out and buy their game, getting them back some of the money they lost. It's their own fault for releasing such a crappy game. In my opinion, VALVe has made three good games: Half Life, Team Fortress, and Opposing Force. It seems to me they are just riding the Half Life band wagon...

I actually like Counter-strike: Condition Zero.

But the thing is, they are exploiting the whole system using Credit Card Fraud, something that is illegal in real life too. Very illegal. And who cares if VALVe made the game to only CS: Condition Zero holders, some people liked it - Like the ones without Counter-strike 1.6 or whatever.

As for whoever said VALVe didn't make Counter-strike. So? They're making it now, and it'll be better than CS 1.6 anyday.

The beta was meant as a BENEFIT for those who bought CS:CZ(an excellent game, let me say to those who read the reviews for version 1.0 and/or played the stolen version) and therefore have SUPPORTED Valve recently. They will get the same number of bugs fixed if 2500 play it as with 50000 playing it. Never assume they owe you an exclusive beta for buying HL 5 years ago, or even if you bought it in the budget aisle yesterday. This was meant as a PERK to those who have supported Valve by buying CS:CZ and those who have been waiting for their HL2 Ati coupon to pay off.

CZ was a cheap pile of sh!t that that was nothing more than an attempt to make money off someone else's bots. cs:s was both an engine test, a sort of 'reward' for ppl who bought cz, and an attempt to boost sales to failed cz.

Personally i dont really care if ppl crack the beta. Valve are still gonna make millions on HL2 when released, and most people that download the cracked cs:s just dont wanna waste their money on cz. If anything the cracked versions will just serve as a demo for people that wanna check out a game before they buy it.

This thread should probably also now note that VU is responsible for delaying CS:CZ 6 months at minimum. Had it come out 6months earlier it might have been something even a little more than acceptable. CS:S may well be among other things a 'were sorry for our shitty publisher' from Valve.
