But if you want my opinion, I say NAY! at this point (game going gold sometime soon... hopefully!) I don't think there's much to speculate really.
 
There will be HL3 to speculate for the ones that end HL2.
 
If we don't have a rumours forum, we'd have loads of rumours filling up the hl2 disccusion forum. And I'm sure everyone know what sort of thing that might cause. :(

What happend with all the that were on th Speculation-forum?
 
Definitely should bring it back. Otherwise every other thread in hl2 discussion will be speculation and it will be much more difficult to sift through it for real news.

Plus, the speculation forum was quite popular. No reason to get rid of it.
 
I loved to read Release date speculation so I would like to hear more now.

I think the Spec forum was quite useful to distinguish between fact and opinion, but the line was quite blurred between what threads should go where.

So, whatever. If the mods can keep up with the new threads appearing in HL2 discussion, then I dont mind either way.
 
:thumbs: Bring em' back. I mean come on although they WERE dead for awhile, you don't want false facts or speculations mixed in with real facts in General Half Life 2 chat.
 
There should definately be a speculations forum. The speculation threads usually contain potential spoilers, which can hint on the Half-Life 2 plot and can ruin something you never thought of. Now all those threads are going to appear at the general Half-Life 2 discussion forum

As I've stated before, I'm a big wussy when it comes to anything spoilerish :)
 
For god's sake, the game is coming out pretty damn soon, what's the *point* of speculating?

EDIT: And, yes I would support a HL3 speculation forum, but not a HL2 one

It's easier for me to ignore spoiler threads if most of them are conviently located in one place :)

Just because something is released means all speculation is ceased?
 
actually we can speculate about a lot like the G-man speeches on HL2.

There will be plenty to speculate after HL2 raises a bunch more questions. Bring speculation back!

I wonder though, when half life 2 does come out, and people who have completed it would like to discuss the plot, will all that go in hl2 discussion or will there be another board where you can discuss it without spoiler warnings?

The thread description could be "Spoilers abound!""

or something.......
 
The plan is to have a plot discussion forum after release, but thread titles won't show up on the mainpage, so nothing is spoiled :)

So, you are going agaisnt the will of the majority of forum members.

i think i might come on after a little while playing so i can share in the joy... but after that i'm going away and won't be back until the end credits... but i think you guy have the right idea :)
