Well, having a phobia of spiders, you may want to avoid threads named, "spiders". ;)

Just a suggestion.

I was lulled into fake safety by the very first lines of the first post saying: This thread is not for pictures of spiders.

Unless she had quadruple Ds and had sworn to me on a stack of bibles and her mother's grave that she'd let me have unlimited access to her breasts for the rest of my natural life there is no way in hell I'd do that.

She was probably around that size tbh. D:! haha.
The age gap was too big though for me to gain access. I think she was 16/17 and I was like 13/14. Damn :(

I quite like spiders. They are, after all, the sworn enemies of far more annoying insects like bluebottles and mosquitos. However, whether or not I'll have the guts at any given moment to pick one up by hand in order to chuck it out the window is 50/50. When they move fast they shock and scare me too.

One time I had to get dressed in a rush in order to answer the door (one of those 2pm mornings where you're the only one at home, you know the kind). While kicking on my trousers hurriedly, I vaguely registered seeing what looked like a dark bit of fluff inside them but I paid it no heed - that door needed answering quick! Well anyway, when I answered the door it turned out to be a salesman or a god-botherer in the end, so I came back to sit down and veg out in front of my PC. It was then that I felt this curious tickling on my leg. I looked down to see this great big house spider scuttle out from inside my trouser leg, down my bare foot, onto the carpet and away.

I didn't really know how to react, so I classed the experience as 'funny'. There was a part of me deep down that was convulsing on the floor and clawing my own eyes out in disgust, but twas only a small part.
This guy is kinda cute actually.
It says on that site that it can jump to a distance of 30 times its own length. Not such a kindly uncle now, eh? More like the kind of uncle that waits until your parents are out and then makes you keep sexy secrets.

Large spiders like that don't really scare me. If you want to creep me out post daddy long-legs.

Spiders are creepy, but very interesting. I think jumping spiders are really cute though, I love catching them in my hands

They look like Striders tbh.

If you pick them up by their leg, it might come off D:

I found this, maybe it will help some of you.
Q. I am terrified of spiders, what do I do?
A. Many people are afraid of spiders in fact it is one of the most common fears. However, there are probably dozens or hundreds of spiders in your house that you never see and will never hurt you. Spiders are everywhere, even on the top of Mt Everest and you won't escape them. Fortunately, just about all are harmless creatures and even the dangerous ones are more afraid of you than you are of them. Can you imagine a creature thousands of times your size seeing you, then running away screaming in terror? This sounds a bit silly doesn't it? Most people don't have the sort of weapons necessary to kill such a beast, and likewise, very few spiders have the venom to kill a person. Less than 1/20th of 1% of ALL spider species have venom that could cause even a little illness in humans. If your fear of spiders has gotten to the point where it interferes with your everyday life, you should see a psychiatrist who can help deal with phobias. Many people have reported that looking through our photos pages has helped them overcome their fear, when they see what beautiful creatures they really are and come to appreciate them and the fact that they won't hurt them.

This website is awesome:

Hi!

I really don't believe that recluse spider link, if his skin was dead in that area, the doctors would remove that part of his hand before it destroyed the majority of his hand, it really makes no sense

maybe thats why so much skin was missing, IDK. Maybe he neglected it for days thinking - .. just a bug bite. Until it started looking horrendous.

You can see the stitches popped out from the size of swelling.

Here is what I found out about those pictures just now:

Analysis:

Comments: Unfortunately, the various captions accompanying these emailed images on their odyssey from inbox to inbox over the past several years haven't included enough information to verify whether the festering wound was indeed caused by the bite of a brown recluse ("fiddleback") spider. The origin of the photos is unknown.

The wound itself appears to be real, at least, and, though more extreme than other examples I have found, does resemble necrotic ulcers known to be symptomatic of brown recluse spider bites. But they are also symptomatic of gangrene and necrotizing fasciitis, both of which can result from a brown recluse bite but both of which have other known causes as well, and can easily be mistaken for such a bite.

Experts say misdiagnoses of the causes of necrotic ulcers are very common. The majority of brown recluse bites are "uneventful" and rarely progress to such a serious stage.

lol, to be honest with you, at some point he should have thought "heyyy, my thumb is rotting off... maybe I should stop taking pictures and show the doctor.."

necrotizing fasciitis, ugh, that is such a gross disease, google image it sometime, nastyyyyyy

Hold me tight.

Jump into your arms and wish you a good night sleep? Yep, a kind uncle.

I'm pretty freaked out by spiders to be honest. If I see them, they make me feel uncomfortable, but I also have a horrible feeling they're going to jump at me.

It's a nasty image in your head that this thing could pounce on you.

Strangely though, I think they're fascinating to read about (wiki for example).
