So, let's just make a friendly poll to see who wants the Sponsored Links, and who does not. The intentions of this poll are not neccesarily one way or another, just to see how the community stands on the subject. Lock, delete, warn, ban, whatever... but I'm curious as to what the community thinks.

heh my sig got editted just because it helped people remove the ads, i don't see why, its up to the individual user to block them, unless you want to cram the advertising down their throat. Well at least Dalamari's does the same job.

Just find some other way to make money, Munro. That isn't the problem I personally have with it. Its that you're using my f*cking posts to advertise stuff. Get more banner ads or something if you must make more money for whatever reason. Just keep away from my goddamn posts.

A certain extension for firefox which the admins here don't like you posting about (rhymes with adflock) does a great job at removing both inline ads and ad banners, but if i had to see one or the other, i'd prefer a google ads banner on the side or bottom. Inline ads are quite obtrusive and make viewing the site difficult.

The only beef I have with this is that the content of my posts (The rights to which I didn't sign away upon agreeing to the TOS and registering on these forums in May 2003) might be used to advertise products against my will, especially if it's for the glorious goal of getting a minority of people a Counter-Strike server.

Otherwise, I'm fine. I am blocking all kinds of advertisements, as well as disabling avatars and signatures.
