Well we don't actually know what an atom looks like. Theres an extremly simplistic model that makes an atom look a litte like a solar system, but in reality the 'electron' are just little clouds of negative charge.

Actually, atoms don't look like anything. Atoms are not a solid spheres like they're portrayed often (not even the core), atoms are quite simply completely empty, just bundles of forces or energy (and as E = mc² says, matter is just a state of energy) that have an effect on incoming energy like visible light, absorbing some of its energy and bouncing back the rest which is what we perceive in our eyes as solid. While everything around you isn't actually solid at all.

And electrons are not really clouds (I think it's unknown whether or not they actually have a diameter or are just really points of energy) but a certain area of probability they can currently be in. The actual position of an electron is never certain, just an area where they likely are. But I'm no expert on this.
