I have not seen episode 3 yet.. im going tomorrow but it got me thinking.
Assuming George Lucas has no problems with it and is involved in the process, how do u feel about them remaking the last three episodes all over again?

what i mean by that is, every single thing in the storyline stays the same but basically they would be remaking the movies with actors of our generation and basically using today's CGI to make these movies.

if u say yes to a remake, what would be ur personal casting choices? :p

I say no. Simply beacause he shouldn't mess with them. He'll only make "improvements" that suck.

No. they're f*cking excellent right now, and I don't want him to mess them up.

NO! NO! NOOO!

:flame: If that were to ever happen, I would personally track down whoever decides to remake them...and slice their throat then burn / destroy any things that could give any one else the idea to remake the movies. :flame:

never! have you seen how much cgi they used in episode 2 and 3!? cgi can be a good thing but when you over use it the movie starts to look really fake. yoda puppet > yoda cgi

Never rmake them. He already updated them like 8 yrs ago... They were great the way they were. Seriously I don't get what it is with everyone in hollywood wanting to remake classics and then ruining them. I swear if they ruined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... heads will roll.

Stop milking the Star Wars franchise Mr. Lucas!!!

uuhhhh, yeah, what he said ... minus all the throat slashing and burning and whatnot. I'm a peaceful person

That what you really meant to say?

I would welcome them. As unlike some star wars fans, Im not so blinding to go "Oh my god there so crap! Lucas you ruined them!!" I would just go "There not very good, but hey, I have the orginals on dvd..."

Didn't they already commit to making the OT in 3-D? I could have sworn I read that somewhere. In the same article they said that Star Wars would be turned into a TV series in addition to continuing the cartoon on Cartoon Network. I hated the "improvements" he made to Ep 4,5,6. Gredo shooting first and stuff. No thanks.

Yeah, I heard they were starting work on the tv series this fall and that it takes place between the 3rd and 4th episodes I think. I don't feel like looking up sources at the moment, but I think it was in the IGN review of the movie.

No, I don't want them to be remade. They're (almost) perfect as they are.

...and I don't think the new ones suck, Ritz :)

No. The only thing they could do is remake and add some of the fighting sequences with better visual effects. THEY CANT TOUCH THE ACTING, or ANY SCENE with real characters.

No.
But are they going to make #7 8 and 9 ? and then (or so i heard....), 10, 11, 12? as they were originaly? Thats the question....

I had heard that there was no plans to make those episodes. I really doubt they will, and if they do it probably won't be Lucas at the helm. Kind of mind-boggling though, that all the episodes originally started out as plans for one movie.

Let's see uh NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO AND,UH,NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Antlion, dont double post, let alone double post the same thing.

they wouldnt dare. The original acting is miles ahead of the recent movies, they would only damage the movies' reputations

Oops, sorry bout that. my computer will skip and do the same thing twice sometimes.

I think they could remake not the whole thing, but just some scenes. They should improve the lightsaber battles/any other action scenes.

no never
Id rather loose my Schwanz instead letting that happen
then everybody will have Walkie Talkies instead of Lightsabers

No... reasons why?

After getting burned by the lava, Anakin was remade using alot of droid tech. he is now slower, and not as good with a lightsaber, yet still good with the forse itself.
Obi is very old now and had not used his lightsaber for a long time, thus he was not very good either.
Both Obi and Vader also had not used there lightsabers in a long time,
Luke didnt have much lightsaber training, normall jedis would of had years of training at the temple. In episode 5 and 6 he does get better though... but not by much.

All in all, Lucas did the fights slower for a reason in episodes 4-6, as only pre-empire days had fully trained jedis.

Everyone knows what is going to happen....but yeah, he might as well put spoiler tags over it.

And I say.... NO

As long as Lucas still directs them, they'll be crap still. He just CANNOT direct, and the scripts are possibly the worst thing that would HAVE to be changed!

I wouldn't really mind, if they found a better director than Lucas. He's just so Horribly, horribly corny...

I wouldn't want them remade any time soon. Maybe in 30-50 years it would be worth doing all 6 again, like what happens with a lot of classic films.

Funny thing is Lucas hates directing. He's more of a script writer than a director.

Those people dont deserve to live.

It would be fun if they made ep. VII-IX though, based on the books of "The New Jedi Order", 20 years after episode VI.

Now that would be cool. One can never have enough Jedis.

Yes, if the KOTOR games have taught...actually, Lucas should make movies of the KOTOR movies. Those deserve movies more than anything else. Especially KOTOR II.

Damnit...when I voted I thought you meant the last 3 movies that were made..episodes 1,2 and 3, not the first three, 4,5,6. Damnit.. :(

You don't have the originals on DVD.
