I'll try downloading tonight ..anyone played it yet? ..from what I've read and seen I'm not all that excited about the game. Hopefully the demo will change my mind
 
I'm looking forward to this...you can blow up other peoples jetpacks and make then fly up into the air...up up and away...my beautiful my beautiful airballoooooon!!!

I've the official site on my personal tabs in FF, been checking it every day to see if the demo is out.

...but the HTTP link seems to lead nowhere. the file was removed probably... I hate bt, but seems like will have to install some client and try downloading the demo with that. drats...

any links that aren't torrents, cause my school's a bitch aboiut those (ie they don;t work) any HTTP or FTP links would be greatly appreciated

i can;t use torrents from my school, they've got them blocked, and since i'm stuck here for the next couple of months, any help would be greatly appreciated
 
Torrents slow as hell, stupid laned computer... The http link is full so that does'nt work. I can get about 500k upwards to 2mps on an http stupid. *Stabs torrent*
 
I've just finished the demo. It's an OK/average game, more of a console game than a PC game. Really linear and heavily scripted. The AI is pretty bad, I stood shooting one of the big guys when a tiny bit of his body was sticking out and he didn't even move, he just waited to die.
 
In my opinion the demo is amazing. Yeah, it's scripted and linear, but it is extremely wellmade scripted and linear. It feels like being in a great movie, the atmosphere is really intense.

The graphics are really impressive in my opinion, the quality of the textures, bumpmaps and blooms etc are insane, yet the game runs really smooth :)
 
yeah, i'll have to agree with it being a damn fine demo, lots of polish, just plain fun, i like it
 
I think the graphics are good, but not great. It looks like an upgraded UT2003/4 engine, a bit like SWAT 4.
 
Yeah, I agree StardogChampion, the AI wasn't good (on your teammates mostly, the enemies were OK). Sometimes your teammates just stands still and gets killed quick, good thing though that you can revive them.

Otherwise the demo was pretty good, very nice graphics and good sounds. I like how you see through a helmet like in Metroid Prime.

try killing your teamates, after you kill one they catch on and start to attack you, course i couldn;t be the one to die, so i had to kill the last guy, didn;t try reviving them, i think they'd just shoot me

Same with me.
I need a better link. These ones aren't working for me. I'm not too disappointed, I'm not that interested and I don't have a lot of space to spare. I'm still playing Dawn of War which is a damn fun game.
 
whoever gives me a good working http or ftp link get's free sex, for 5 minutes.

Mediocre. Uninteresting. Bland.
 
I just finished playing it - while it feels slightly clunky and flat in certain combat situations - I enjoyed it a lot. I always enjoy squad based combat games. And in this giving out the orders, watching the hand signals then seeing your squad follow them out dodging between cover, it's great. And the best thing about this game is your team actually bloody throw back the sodding grenades that get lobed in their general direction, excellent. Two grenades got thrown at my sniper who was taking cover in a stack of toppled over boxes and he quickly noted their presence around his feet and swiftly threw them back at the owner.

It's got some really nice squad AI, I was expecting it to be pretty dire but they really know where to take cover and move to a location that provides cover. What impressed me more was myself and 2 of my other squadies got owned and the last man in our squad retreated back down the corridor to where there was some cover, got behind it and began blowing the crap out of the oncoming horde of beasties then proceeded to come back and resurrect me and the other downed squad mates - rawk !

And the blood and crap that gets splattered over your visor is a great little touch. And that low light vision mode looks the sex.
 
Damn, Dux, you make wanna play it. But that ftp-link crashed on me, so I have to start downloading all over again. Are there any official mirrors by now?

Hehe, I stabbed them when they were low on health so I could revive them, which made them have more health when back up...
"Sir, if you do that one more time, I'm going to kill you myself" :D
