Star Wars: The Old Republic - TimeLine Trailers

Yes, it's set a few hundred years after kotor2 and builds upon the plots of the kotor games.

It looks so lacklustre. I really want to be excited about this game, but so far only that space combat video was able to elicit some enthusiasm from me.

is kotor2 worht it?I heard is not so good

Never played it but supposedly it is a flawed masterpiece: the first half is great, the second half is kaputt because it was rushed for an early release.

Get it for PC, and get the restoration mod. Changes it from a B to an A+ game.

I played through KoTOR2 but never got around to playing through KoTOR1 though I own it legally on PC.

Should get around to that one of these days.

KOTOR2 is worth it, but definitely get the latest restoration mod before starting, or the endgame will be a mess plot-wise and plot holes crop up everywhere.

I'm not liking the deadpan voice-acting and blase MMO plot-advancing lines in that video seen so far though :

Sith (?) : "No-one stops me once I put my mind to something" [Monotone]

Officer : "Since you disabled the defenses [on a potentially superpowered ancient sith artifact], you should have first shot at going inside it" [LOLwhat, since when were Sith Officers so generous in the other two games]

.... I'll stick with KOTOR1 and 2 until a proper singleplayer KOTOR comes along, thanks.

He wasn't a Sith - he works for them so was, y'know, deferring to one?

The officer deferring it to the player ?

It makes sense gameplay-wise, sure, but based of Star Wars knowledge (admittedly not much in my case) the Sith were all about personal power/passion/victory - why allow a Sith grunt (the player) the chance to gain control of a super-artifact for themselves when a battalion of cannon fodder troopers would suffice to take it plot-wise ?

The officer wasn't actually a sith, he's clearly a non-force user in the sith army - see the uniform? A Captain Piett type.
