Actually, this thread is intended for people to post non-content server-related bugs in steam, so that they are all collected in a central place, so valve can be aware of them. Of course, Valve is already aware of most of these issues, but still. It is also for people posting their pet peeves about Steam, to get them heard, to suggest ideas in lou of the steam forums, which are bunk. I hope you people use it as its supposed to, and I wouldn't mind a little help from the mods in that reguard.

Something they have got to fix that is pissing me off is the freaking buyarea. You cant run while buying. I refuse to play 1.6 untill that is fixed omg how annoying.

Steams a good idea and I like it BUT it keeps killing my connection. When I exit Steam after playing CS ore DoD my connection is all lost. It looks active but I cant load any page. And when I then close my connection and try too log on again, my nett provider wont respond for like 20 minutes. This happends maybe 3 out of 5 times.
Love Valve and all but come on :bounce:

Heres what you should do:
Disable VGUI menus, you can do it in the options menu, i have forgotten the console command.

Okay, Valve just released a patch today, and it seems like their authentication servers are doing much better, and their content servers are no longer overloaded. The patch seems like it fixed the children error, some other asserts, AKA the majority of the crashes on most user's systems. Steam has been working smoothly for me since, no major problems. So, this thread should be dying soon...unless oogles of new crashes have been uncovered.

i just started using steam and love it. my cs has never worked better. thanks...
there is a problem with the chat. me and a buddie where trying to add eachother the other day and only one of us can do it at a time its really strange. even if we are in a game with eachother the option to add him to my list is dark.
