Steam Holiday Sales Continue

Damn U Valve. They are bound to offer up something that is too tempting not to buy at some point....

I got Grid. Bought a copy for myself and a copy for my old man. Couldn't resist at that price. Need a steering wheel now!

if you're going into serious racing, may I recommend the Logitech G25. My brother has, great wheel. He had a problem with and so contacted Logitech and they sent him a brand new one. All he had to do was send his old power adapter to one of their offices in Germany after he got the wheel :p

I'm really tempted to get KotoR, heard lots of good things about.

At that price it would be a crime not to get it.

I'm now getting one from my dad for my birthday on Thursday!

Woo hoo! Really excited now :)

I've used his and it was amazingly good.

The sale page won't open from me, but from the looks of it there isn't much today.

New set of deals are up.

No, give yourself a pat on the back because you saved about 43 dollars from it's launch price.

Anyways, yeah, Ghostbusters and Trine for 10 bucks... eh, not really interested in either.

Bought Borderlands, tempted by Trine but I know it will get even cheaper in another few months so waiting.

It was $20 on Amazon for a while yesterday... but now it's back up to $40.

nice one, hope you enjoy Grid

Also Ghostbusters has been removed from the offer :(

I mean how many people are still playing it? or has everyone migrated?

i played L4D1 last night with a friend and it was really fun. also runs a little smoother than L4D2 on my rig.

Sunday's Deals:

World of Goo - 75% off
EVE Online: Apocrypha - 75% off
Lucidity™ - 75% off
Battlefield 2: Complete Collection - 50% off
Prince of Persia® and everything else Prince of Persia® - 50% off
Guild Wars® Trilogy - 50% off
Trackmania United Forever - 50% off

Lucidity was a game I liked the look of, even as it became more and more apparent that the consensus about its gameplay was that it sucked. I probably wasn't going to get it, but I think I'm more than happy to part with £1.74 for something so cute.

The Guild Wars deal is tempting... I only have the first game.

DAMN YOU STEAM!! stealing all my money :(

edit: today I probably won't get any. I've had most of those games for a while

Eh, not really interested in anything. Lucidity looks really cute but eh.

I would get BF2 but that newer one is coming out so soon, which may or may not be good.

I have not a clue what Guild Wars is like.. looks like a non monthly fee version of WoW.

Prince of Persia is the only one that caught my eye today... just.

Haven't bought it though.

I wouldn't, unless you are really bored of all your current games.

Best deal there is World of Goo.

Just bought L4D. Damnit Valve. First the THQ pack then L4D... So much for having money this holiday season.
BTW, saints row 2 is the best damn game I've played in YEARS.

If you guys haven't picked up World of Goo yet, do it! It's an amazing game. One of the first indie games I ever picked up, and it consumed so much of time. It has quite the presentation.

I bought the LucasArts pack on a whim which has a lot of really good games that I should've played a long time ago and KOTOR (my hard copy isn't working too well anymore) so whatever impulse purchase that probably wasn't worth it, Osmos which I've played the demo of and is breathtaking so hell yeah $2, and Plants vs Zombies which is definitely worth $5. I should have plenty of games to occupy me for a very long time.

L4D2 still isn't low enough for me to want to buy it, hopefully they bring it down even lower(atleast $20) at some point in the near future.

I've gotten the impression that you don't even really like the core gameplay of L4D and I'm curious why you'd want to buy it, even for that little.

I'm considering buying World of Goo. I vaguely remember playing the first version that was on the Experimental Gameplay website 4 years ago, but it just consisted of moving around blobs to make a tower or something. I presume the new full game has more of a point? If so, I may actually buy it.

World of Goo is phenomenal. $5 is a steal.

More of a point? Well, it's comparable to the old DMA game, Lemmings. The goal in each area is to construct blob-structures in the direction of the exit, and on the way you'll get different types with different behaviours (reusable goo, floating etc.) and a whole bunch of environmental hazards (winds, dangerous liquid). Other chapters put twists on the art-style and gameplay that it would spoil to mention.

It's really quite an inventive game, and beyond the 'get to the exit' task and the err... goo, you're never really asked to do the same thing twice. At that price? I say do it. There is a demo of the first chapter, and that contains most of the less inventive tasks.

I assume that there will be one more deal tomorrow for Cyber Monday?
I wish that they would lower the prices for some of the newer games on there.

I'm praying for a good $9.99 game to be dropped to $2.99 tomorrow...

Well, now I know I'm in trouble. My card was declined for trying to buy Lucidity. Whoops.

Get paid tomorrow though. I wonder if I can get home from work in time for the deal not to have changed? I think not. :(

I think so. As stated by the news item on Steam itself: "Here are Sunday's discounts - you have 24 hours to take advantage of these deals before Monday's games roll in at 8:00 AM PST."
