Steam is downloading again

Hi i have just restarted my machine and steam is downloading HL2 movies again
it will be interesting to see what!

We just released the Kleiner Lab video roughly 30 seconds ago.

We'll start the preloading of the next movie sometime on Monday. If you can
hack it out of the cache, I'll name my first child after you instead of
Gabe.

Mine is all downloaded the lab ages ago. My Steam has stopped downloading. That's it for the week. Seeya monday. lol.

I don't think it's actually there. If it is they've hidden it much better than before- but that wouldn't be too hard. I'll let the real hackers out there do the dirty work if it is there.

Richochet and OpFor should be working now, so maybe that's what Steam was downloading.

Call me an untrustworthy little bastard, but if I already have the Kleiner
video downloaded and Steam has already updated my platform for me to be
able

to access it through the mediabrowser; considering the fact that Steam
Monitor is still downloading "Half-Life 2 Movies" does that not mean that
you perhaps just told me a small lie a second ago? :-P

No, it's likley just the other (older) movies filling in.


What do you mean by "filling in"?

If there is empty space in the cache and there is content available to
download into it, it will use the extra space.

I think there is actually a bit of a bug with the way we have the movies
setup, as this really shouldn't happen. We'll have this fixed soon

whatever its downloading is really big its taking as long as other vids and its not the kener vid because i just played it and its still downloading. it has to be the next vid.

Mine finished downloading once, now it's started up again.

Bear in mind you have to close steam before it updates the cache file, and even more importantly, I don't think there is any sort of resume function in steam so if you close it before a download's finished, you have to start over again. Made the mistake of opening Op4 too so that's downloading now as well and taking up badnwidth

err what? actually, there is resume, I resume about 10 times every video
