I have gotten this message when trying to start any Steam game for the last hour. They tell me to try again in a few minutes, but as I said, it has been an hour. Anyone else getting this?

Try checking in your Monitor GUI for which content server you're connected to:

Right click Steam icon > Monitor > The banner displays which content server you're connected to.

Then determine whether or not it's busy by seeing this page.

Overall bandwith use can be found here. As you can see it's quite high due to what it normally is.

If this is the case - being your content server being busy - try exiting Steam, deleting your clientregistry.blob and retrying; I'm afraid that's all you can do to help, it's a bit of a pain but you may have to wait a bit for the specific content server usage to go down.

If this doesn't help, try the answers outlined in this FAQ regarding game unavailable errors and general connection problem answers found over here.

Best bet is deleting the clientregistery.blob file in hopes you get put on a different content server and/or waiting for the bandwith usage to go down.

...

Yay! that did work thanks man :)

The servers are still to busy. I can't play any Steam games at all!

EDIT: No, it's just CS:S and HL2:DM. Everything else works.

Try changing your Internet connection in Steam, it works for quite a few suprisingly!:

Steam > Settings > Internet

Blinxx, you are my hero. :D

EDIT: HL2: DM works, but not CS:S. :(
