Still thinking in buying nVidia hardware for HL2? Errr...read.

of course, if you have an nVidia, you don't want to be owned by ATi cards. Simple as that.
However, the 9800's are much better :D

I'm really curious to see what all of you are going to say once the HL2 benchmark is released and it runs 30%+ faster on everyones 9800s. We already know it will, because Gabe has said so.

Will everyone still say 'it's just one game, who cares?'
Nope, they will say "That's not a real DX9 game! Lets wait for the real DX9 games" (and will continue doing so when we see DX10 games) and "Nvidia drivers will improve" :p

Download the latest drivers. You have a Radeon 9x00, right?? Anyway, if you got a 9700, the original drivers on the cd that came with it were a bit glitchy, but after updating the the latest Catalyst drivers, everything is smooth sailing. I haven't had any problems with my 9700 since then...

Mebbe he meant UT2k4, cause that's coming out soon...

dawdler was talking about nvidia cheating and dx10....i figure we wont see dx10 for quite a while. so i say ut2k5(an imaginary dx10 game).....

nvidia will claim there new drivers increase performance by 4000% while rendering nothing but a white dot on your screen :p:p:p:p

Try updating (flashing) the mobo's BIOS, my 9800pro works better since I did that.
