Yep, even if it is a joke, its a bit on the sick side. $40,000 to stop her abortion, or she'll post pictures of the dead fetus on the internet.

I personally doubt its possible to have a look and take pictures of a dead fetus anyway, but still.....thats some pretty warped shit going on there. Warped as in "I've gone a bit far with the 'anyone can be sick on the interwebs' joke".

Meh, she can abort the kid if she wants. My money is going towards a better cause- weed and videogames.

In the unlikely event that this is real, the kid is better off not having her as a mother.

This is one of those things like "i'll eat poo for a dollar" except in reverse.
If she gets an abortion, some people might be grossed, but no-one is actually harmed
As opposed to the kid being stuck with having an irresponsible parent.

So anyone who does pay is an idiot or religious (aka an idiot).

Fanatics are idiots for following their religion. Every other theist is an idiot for raping their faith to the point where it's worthless, yet still beleive in it.

Whoaaa lets not turn this into a religious debate. Lets all do the witch-hunt thing and point the finger of judgement at this poor excuse for a human being bribing for the life of a child - despite if its real or not. It seems they are proving a point against pro-life nutcases, which about 95% of the world dislike. Fair enough, but for financial gain and putting the morals of life on the line...tisk tisk.
 
if she did have the child she'd probably have to immediately hand it over to child services because she's unfit ...she should make it more interesting ..why not put a revolver to her head and we guess how many bullets she has ..if we're wrong she she shoots herself, if we're right she gets $40,000 ...I'll go first with guessing how many bullets are in her gun.. ummm ...54 bullets! ..am I correct?

If you're looking into those beliefs from an outside source, chances are you're going to assume they're stupid, but if you can't dissprove it, I personally wouldn't consider them dumb.

I would respond properly, actually taking the time to come up with a well thought out argument about why religion is such bullshit, but I know that Banimal would just delete the post and/or lock the thread, so instead of that, I'll just call you a worthless **** who needs to get blasted in the ass by a large dose of reality and call it even.
 
Such a concept raises alot of interesting questions, makes me think about my position on abortion.

Are we to condemn her for allowing the life of a child to depend on money?
But wait, if we are pro-abortion, or at least pro-choice, then we hold the view that the child does not exist, and thus it is no more horrible than give me 40grand or I won't get pregnant.

It's an interesting thought that anyone's life could depend on money, because ultimately their is a life depending on it. However, we commit abortion every day by not spreading our man seeds at every opportunity. By not having as much sex as possible we are denying people of life. A feeling that whats shes doing is still very wrong still resonates with me though.
