yes, but physical matter and conciousness are not the same.. some say physical matter brings around conciousness, but science isnt so sure about that anymore,infact their certain. (so... funny thought , but physical matter may end up as something else over millions of years naturally, but your created conciousness doesnt reside in that matter)

they reckon conciousness arises elsewhere, from an unkown from beyond Quantum understanding .

an overwhelming amount of reports on near death experiances where people have experianced seeing there physical body, seperate from it, although they still feel like they have eyes ears and arms. a residual energy.

in a so called... etherical body.

some how the Mind appears to be seperate from the brain, and the brain acts as a spark or a gate into physical manifestation.
