Was a fantastic march. I was there, the speeches were excellant and the march was massive. Heres some photos I took:
Our troops do nothing except cause people to hate us more.yeah, pulling out troops would just make things all peaceful in Iraq, it's not like they are on the brink of civil war.....
No. Our troops are oppressing the Iraqi people, we are only protecting the big buissness's who are stationed in Iraq, **** all is being done for the average Iraqi.
Well our troops arn't doing anything to stop the factions fighting anyway and without the coallition being pressent perphaps the Iraqi state might seem a bit more legitimate to the Iraqi people.
Nah, the UK government are wanting to replace our currents Trident warheads with some new stuff. Replacing them will cost 25billion pounds, whilst schools and the NHS have massive deficits.
Aye, was brilliant fun. One of the speakers was some Northean Irish Guy called Eamon something or other, he was part of an anti-war group who had blocked some Isreali arms manufacturing plant in Derry. There was also some anarchists demanding class war who were amusing.
Showed thoose labour people they won't get away if invading Iran, we need to keep the pressure on the government through similar demonstrations and acts of civil disobediance to get the attention of others to our cause.
I would presume Muslims were there, but they hold as much wait as any other member of British society.
