I'm looking for a song with that line in the chorus! Help!

I know quite a few of you here are quite heavily into your music from all the posts of equipment an stuff I've seen, so I'm hoping there may be a chance one of you might know what I'm talking about.

Now, before anyone does a quick google search and hands me the results... this is something I've been looking for for some time and it's pissing me right off that I can't find it. I've checked several lyric sites and search engines using loads of variations.

Here are a few parameters and details that might help, since I seem to be a completely useless tool and incapable of searching properly.

It is around 15 years old. I have memories of it from around then.
I don't know the name of the band, but the track was by indie/rock band.
The vocalist was male.
Can't be sure where they were from, but I think it may have been from the US.
As well as the 'Stop the world' line, there was another line something like 'got a one way ticket'. And possibly something about a rail track or bus stop... possibly... it was a long time ago!

Anyways, the longer I look for this damn thing the more I'm beginning to think it may have been a small time band that had a short life, or only played local gigs without a mainstream release.

This has been annoying me for years now, and I started looking again cos I have the damn tune stuck in my head!

Nope, it was an audio file sent to me by a friend to listen to. Another reason for me thinking it may have just been a small time local band. I'm not in contact with said friend any more, and not been in years.

Nope, unfortunately not that.
I'm almost certain that it's a small time local band now and that it was a one time recording distributed by friends. Just going to have to give up the search methinks... but cheers for helping peoples!
