I did a search and apparently this hasn't been discussed before so.
I'm sure you've all encountered them, you were all immersed in the atmosphere of a serious game and then out of nowhere comes a line so moronic you can't hep but laugh your ass off.
A few examples:

Chaser - random soldier: "Heeeeeeyyyyyyyy!!!!" " You're not supposed to be here"
Far Cry - mercs: "You're ass is grass!!" "I'm gonna tear you a new one!"
"It's the guy in the red shirt!!!"

NOLF1 - HARM agent1 - What a moron
HARM agent2 - Did you just call me a mormon?
HARM agent1 - Why would I call you a mormon?
HARM agent2 - Hmmm....

How about you. Examples!!!

Oh shit, NOLF 1 and 2 were genius! Though you make it seem like the dialog between the people in the NOLF world was ment to be serious, though they purposly did it to make you go "WTF? LOL"

--"No Sir! I mean Yes Sir! I mean no to the first part, and yes to the second part, Sir!"-NOLF

---"You look like you need a monkey."

"Excuse me?"

"I have a very fine monkey for you. Only twenty dollars, American."

"Sorry, but I don't want a monkey."

"What did you say?"

"I said I don't want a monkey."

"Why not?!"

"Because I don't like monkeys!! Now get that filthy beast away from me!"

"Are you insulting my monkey?!"

This makes me want to play NOLF over again :)

Yeah I know:D should've said that. Anyway do you know games with stupid lines that were indeed meant to be serious?

"I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with LIIIIIGHT!"
- Devil May Cry

UGH! I'm embarrassed everytime I watch that horrible scene.
What's with Capcom and their laughable dialogues?

The whole sequence in MGS2 in which Otacon rambles about how he borked his stepmom.

Sometimes I dream... of cheese.

"Rain or shine, your going down!" - Leon Kennedy, Resident Evil 4.

"Boom bada boom!" - Nick Kang, True Crime.

"I need a weapon." - Master Chief, Halo 2.

"No one can match my 1337 haxxorz skillz" - Starwars: Republic Commando

"We totally OWNED you lamers!" - Seifer, Kingdom Hearts 2.

I actually face-palmed when I heard it, even though I knew it was coming.

"I need a weapon." - Master Chief, Halo 2.

I don't want this to escalate into a full-frontal assault on what game has a better dialogue or whatnot, but what is actually wrong with that? He needed a weapon as he didn't have a weapon. I don't mean this in a defensive way to Halo 2, as it could be any game under the sun and I'd still see it as just a standard thing to say when people around are yelling ''YO COME ON LETS GO FIGHT111''

Master Chief then looked on the ground and found wepon!

Did you just come up here to ask if you could borrow my metal detector!?

Because he doesn't actually say it in a "I need a weapon, quick!" way, he says it a cheesy, stupid and dim-witted manner.

Meh, he's not the panick-y sort of a guy. A guy built up on the military all his life - I don't think he has time for making it sound 'human', it's just at that moment in time, that's his key objective. I don't know, it never really struck me as an odd line.

If what bad hat says is true, where he says "I need a weapon" as he's looking at a weapon on the ground.

yeah that's stupid.

As for my line "Here Jill take this lock since you're the master of unlocking"

and "You were almost a Jill sandwich!"

 That's a Half:Life: Full Life Consequences joke. Go and check out Vegeta's Flash animation in the Art Forum to see it yourself. In the game, if I recall correctly, someone tells the Cheif to help repell invaders and he, funnily enough, doesn't have a weapon and needs one. I actually thought it was a blunt, sarcastic reply to the people asking him to fight which worked well. But hey, whatever.

Personally I didn't think that one line stood out as really stupid or unnecesary. But then alot of things the Master Chief says are tinged with that same brand of try-hard badassery. There's a couple of 'cool' moments, but most of the time he just comes off as a sarcastic robot...

Anyway, more quotes!!

"Tell <some jerk> I said go to hell." - Some Sergeant guy, Call of Duty 3.

Ugh, this one made me cringe. Last words, by the way. Yep, well spent.

Anyone else notice the title 'Serge' makes you about as prone to death in war movies/games as the name 'Jimmy' or 'Billy'? Except in their case it'd be "Tell momma/my girl/my dog I love her/it." In the Serge's case the macho bullshit is just as compulsory...

Splinter Cell:

*Shoot a guard in the head*

*Another guard walks over to clearly dead body*

'Are you alright?...........Hello?' (in a strange middle eastern accent)

Commandoes 2: Men of Courage:

Thief in front of aSubmarine Base:

CO: 'Any Change?'

Theif: 'ooo they seem very agitated, as they were....preparing for something...'

It was human, and intentionally unfunny. You weren't supposed to laugh. ^^

I don't know if this is actually Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, having never played the game, but there's some pretty silly dialogue and voice acting here (see video link): http://www.gamespot.com/users/Vod_Crack/video_player?id=IHBixmSt5bgMvzTd

*In bad Russian accents*
Guard 1:"Brrrrr, it's cold."
Guard 2:"Dah. You'd think they could afford to turn on the heater, knowing that we would all be here today."
Guard 1:"Absolutely. My hands are freezing. I hope nobody tries to get in here today...I don't think I can pull the trigger with these fingers."
Guard 2:"No problem...we could always throw icicles at an intruder."
Both:"Hwahwahwahwahahaha!!!"

"It's GAME OVER Whitley!!" Blake, The Thing
I rofl'd at the attempted seriousness.

"Give me......Your SOUL!" Nightmare, Soul Calibur 2
No bitch, I dun want to.

More when I can think of any......

Most stealth games have crappy lines, like in Splinter Cell, when a guy hears you he'll say "did I just hear something?" sometimes it's funny the way they react, a little bit of the time it's just lame.

There's this level in Thief 2... these two mechanists are talking. I don't remember what level, or what they said, but I do remember it was seriously retarded. Something about mixing copper and bronze to get steel or soemthing.

The voice acting on the No More Heroes trailer is laughably bad. And one of the characters (Helter Skelter) says "Your shining armour and fine words won't save you now." When my friends and I watched it the day of the Wii release, it was one of those things that made us giggle like little school girls and it's now our catchphrase when we are just about to beat the person we are playing against in computer games.

But still, the game looks aweshens :)

All the bosses (I've encountered) in World of Warcraft have cheesy lines, made even cheesier by shite voice acting.

In splintercell when you're in the CIA building, I threw a can across the room to distract the guard he just watched it fly by.

'That's... Just not right at all.'

"Not to worry, in the evening we will get some Schnapps to ease the pain" - German after getting blown to bits by a Nebelwerfer

"Some day... you will feed... on a TREE FROG!"

To be fair, translations probably had a huge part in this but goddamn, you'd figure someone would say, 'hm... that doesn't sound right.'

Also, it's not necessarily a line but more of an opening intro, props to whoever guesses the game (not really hard though).
