Unbelievable. Who says gaming isn't a sport?

Flame-proofing: I'm sorry if this is old news, I searched and couldn't find anything resembling it. I'm sorry for posting a fileplanet link, the wait was real short for me. I'm sorry if you don't have the time to download a small file for the sake of entertainment. I'm sorry if I've wasted your time because you or "a friend" can beat Super Mario Bros 3 in less than 11 minutes. I'm sorry if you're too young to appreciate any game developed before 2000. I'm sorry if you just don't care.

Old news yeah, nice to see a FP link tho.

The last time it was posted it was a torrent and hardly anyone got it :)

Been confirmed that he used an emulator to save at hard places, then merge the recordings together to seem like it's consistent. Doesn't seem quite so impressive, now :/

When/where/HOW was this confirmed, exactly? lol

Who confirmed this and how?

I doubt Nintendo Creator Mirimoto would cheat and use an emulator......

The expert skill video shows awesome gameplay as Morimoto plays Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES

if it is actually him as fp says....

I've beaten it in like half an hour using the same route, but not nearly as skilled. All those bouncing 1UPs were amazing.

I have no doubt that could have been done in one sitting. SMB3 was one of those games that after replaying the same level over and over again you become so accustom to the timmings you could easily do with your eyes closed (literally).

I saw a video of Quake 1 beat in 12:11 the other day, pretty cool.

That guy must be the 1337est person on the planet.

Screw the Half-Life 2 videos, those pale in comparision to this

These two people are truly kings among men... kings among men....;(

He slowed the game down on an emulator and then saved and cut parts together. Its all been proven I just forgot where, I'll link it when I have the time to look for it.

I think some things are better left alone or untold so they don't shatter peoples' hopes and dreams. I cried tears of joy when I saw that.

that super mario one blew my mind. the guy must have reflexes like a spider.

Emulators and saving does not excuse his leetness with regards to the "cannon-jumping". My praise goes to the guy anyways.

*goes off to watch the Quake vid.*

Pure madeness. Gods among men... yes. Super l337-human powers? Yes.

I have the skills to do it... err, nah. I wish.
