Suprnova says goodbye

Really? Well, it's my opinion that the world is flat. Also, that you are a matrian from the planet Zerdogiantybahtut.
:rolling:
In fact, only opinions can be wrong... because all thats left are facts, which are.. well, fact. lol
Some opinions are better than others. And while I cannot disprove the other guy's opinions, I can certainly disprove yours.
However, you can still hold that belief for your life....if you wish....
The RIAA have every right to "win". They fund this stuff in hope of profit. They don't get profit = you won't get this stuff...
More like "They don't get profit = they become chicken pansies and complain and pout like little children."
Come on, they're the quintessential billionaire fat cats. And it is us the consumers that've made them so, so they have nothing to complain. In fact, they owe US.

Yeah sorry mods for posting that link. didn't see the link posting-ness banned. Won't happen again.

You know what scares me the most, is that my ISP just called and asked to "speak to whomever is responsible for the internet at home".

First thing that went through my mind was a speculation about the billing problem that we always have(they always screw up something over there, so we are over charged). But the dreadful word RESPONSIBLE made me think of something more serious then this and made me remember of what has recently happened to suprnova.

Fortunatly, or not, my father(he is the responsible one:E) wasn't here and could not speak with them, so that gives me more time to think. My ISP is Sympatico(Canada, Montreal), BWT.

Has anybody else got a similar call from his ISP?

Evil people are those, who do not let us steal their product of creativity!!!

Just say: "Its in my dads name but I do all the tech stuff..."

The problem i have is the price of CD's and dvd movies.
CD sales have fallen drasticly lately, and the RIAA have been blaming it on internet swapping starting all the way back in the 90's with Napster, in all honesty, i dont think this is the case.

CD's in britain are around £15 sometimes nearer £20. I think this appaling. The record companies are making vast profits, and even with cd sales falling, they still are... If they reduced the cd prices say, down to £7-8 and probably £10 for new releases with a maximum of £15 for films, which go up to over £20 with new releases.

I can garantee that the market would pick up again, its when the average wage per hour is lower than the price of the cd which only gives an hour entertainment, where i have the problem and turns people away.
The record companies and artists dont need the profit they are getting, atleast nowhere near as much.

And that will help me how, exactly..?

BWT, I am no longer a minor, so if it's not my dad who'll get sewed, it'll be me.;(

Obviously you're spending too much time in HMV. Have you never heard of supermarkets, or Amazon, or MZTD? £10 is the norm, Amazon is often £7.

Even HMV aren't that bad... Perhaps he's asking for magic CDs?

Just look around HMV, you'll see CD's for £15-£20, i assure you. The average price of a CD is £15.
No, really.. they are. Last time i bought a CD anyway :p

omg. They called again, twice, but my father wasn't at home, again. I don't even know what to think.

Is Rawrr just a troll, or an idiot?

Quite honestly, you pay what you think something is worth. I rate certain films as being worthless (in that I wouldn't pay to see them anyway), so I have no moral problem with downloading and watching them, they're just something to pass the time on an otherwise boring day.

Last film I saw at the cinema was Collateral, which IMO was one of the best films this year. I'll be buying it when it comes out on DVD, even though I've already seen it. Thats how I tend to work.

Incidently, I'm slowing down my DVD buying, as HD-DVD or BluRay will be mainstream within a year, and I don't particularly like the idea of having a large collection of low-res films while the original HD versions are sat in the shops :(

You really don't have the slightest idea how the music industry works, do you?

Uh oh...

He's proablly a little kid Chi...try not to be too harsh on him k? :p

I dunno... I just don't like people saying that musicians don't do anything. Especially when that same person is talking about how much music they listen to. Moron.

Anyways, I could be harsher. But I'm not going to.

Same when people call me a dropout for dropping out of high school...

Oh wait... :|

Damn... oh well, there's another site that's just as good and it will never get shut down, so... :p

I wish I could find somewhere that had more Inu Yasha episodes, dammit! I only have up to 50.

I feel the same annoyance when people tell me I'm a dropout for choosing an art course.
People who do interesting and creative subjects such as art, music, English or philosophy are far more interesting people to talk to than those lowly dreg-like cretins who study "academic" and "worth-while" subjects.
Students of creative subjects are sexier and just better in general. DEFINITELY sexier.
Just look at Farrow :naughty:

Why is that so very true? At least in my experience.

<Sighs> I have no idea. But it's totally (not exclusively but pretty close) true that the genuinely cool sexy people do interesting subjects - especially artists and musicians. Grrrr.
And writers too, of course.

Whoever is saying that CDs cost at least £15 is using stupid statistics. Even in Supermarkets they cost under £10 for a popular album.
