SWAT 4 Singleplayer Demo

Give all your teamates the beanbag shotguns and take a few shots at them with the pistol, good times.
yeah, that's fun as anything, the beanbag effect is really nice

I'd actually like to take back what I said about this being nothing special... I just found myself playing this demo for hours straight. The way that everything randomizes properly adds so much replayability, and the ability to create your own mission in the maker is even better. The squad movements/usage/tactics/AI are fantastic, and there is nothing more tense and exhilirating when you've got a suspect who can't quite decide to give up or fight on; of course, when he does raise his gun your whole team pumps about 30 rounds into him. So cool. I even had a guy who dropped his uzi and surrendered, only to pull another uzi out... quite how he managed to conceal that as well, I don't know.

I installed it via my Pc Gamer cd. It's quite nice.
The AI could use minor improvments but overall it is quite a nice game.

I love how you have many choices of how to enter the target. It's a really great game. I might be purchasing this.

Its better now that i have mastered the squad commands. (Yes, pressing spacebar requires alot fo effort)

:p

This is exactly what i thought. Very fun game, i cant wait to have 5 friends playing coop = INSANE FUN.

I always use the nonlethal approach. It makes me feel better than putting 3 hollow points in a guys chest :).

just got it,havent played much, just wondering does the demo support aa and af?

just finished it,it was really great, sorta reminded me of the fear vids, very tense good music, excellent chatter between the squads, thought it was funny when i told the squad to 'mirror' the room, after a few seconds of nothing happening 1 of the guys says "you're in the way sir",is there any way to make them actually fire when fired upon, they keep getting wasted when entering a room,i watched in horror as two of the were killed by 1 guy without them or the other 2 guys budging,i'll defo check it out,the map was quite small, hopefully there'll be a good few missions to make up 4 it

I just like killing everyone, I mean everyone including hostages. its fun. Also shooting people with bean bags over and over again is great fun, then they give up I walk up to them and pop one in their chest with the pistol. The game is ok I wont buy it though.

lol, when I first started reading this thread, I cancelled the download.

Then when it started to get praise, I had to turn it back on :x

I was reluctant to download this, but it kicks arse alright :D Very tense - I just love it :)

I liked one moment when I was on the first floor (or second depending whether talking in british or american; I mean one level above the garages) in the room with the window, through which you see the garage, and one terrorist was standing at the top of the stairs. I told him to give up, he started putting his weapon away, suddenly stopped and started running away down the stairs. When I realized that, I shot the only part of his body still visible from my level, which was his head. And now was one of those moments when I say "wow" for the ragdolls :). I think it would be better for him if he died before he fell down, cause that fall had to hurt. Eventually I found him at the bottom of the stairs, reported him DOA and secured his weapon

I had a guy in a mechanic jump suit run towards me clutching his stomach like he was shot and he said, "Thank god you're here!" Right as he said that he pulled out a mac10 out of his jacket from where he hands were and I shot and it hit the gun and it went flying out of his hands. That was lucky for me because I just shot the second I saw the gun. I arrested him because he gave up since he had no gun.

I also like when they act like they're putting their gun down and then jump back and start shooting. If I'm using real guns instead of the less than lethal guns it usually results in them dying. I'm aiming towards the arms and legs more now so if I have to shoot them they still live.

Time for me to stomp on everyone's dreams. I hated this game - and I am a SWAT fan since number 1. SWAT 3 really impressed me with it's realism (for the time,) and I loved multiplayer because you HAD to play as a team. And what ever happened to shooting your gun at the wrong time ruining the whole mission?

In THIS game, I would really like to know where the realism is. First of all, your team members stand straight up and down like Michael Johnson running for gold. They walk as though their knees are glued together. How about this: "GET ON THE GROUND RIGH-Open that door, please."

Graphics were bad, 100% lighting effects. Textures were awful. Sounds were awful, AI was pretty good. Mission maker was okay, randomizer is okay.

I'd give this game a 3/10. I'm so glad I am a game design student. Hopefully one day I can make this game worth playing again, and number 4 will go down in history as the only version made by a team of down syndrom patients. Or maybe we'll just remake SWAT 4, and apologize for such an awful 'beta."

Another who is new to the land of freespeech and opinions. Welcome.

That's kinda funny because I didn't like SWAT or SWAT 3 but I did like SWAT 2 and SWAT 4. We're opposites :D!
