SWAT 4 Singleplayer Demo

Wait until March 1st-ish. PCG US will have an exclusive review and demo. I am happy for this SWAT 4 demo. Thanks. :)
 
This game is horrible. I gave a simple command for my team mates to move to this location and while I watched them move I was thinking: "This is 10 times worse than Half Life 2 teammates in a small corridor".

This all happened within the first 20 sec of gameplay. Then I told them to open and breach the door. They told me it was locked; OK I can deal with that, what I couldn't deal with is that they all four of my teammates simply stood in front of the door, so I coudln't even get to it; what the **** are they smoking, they are SWAT, you don't stand in front of the door. And just to make things worse, a bad guys somehow opens the lock door without making any sound and since all my guys are so nicely standing in front of it, I can't take him out and have to wait while he takes out one of my guy before I can pop one in his head.

That took about 2 min of gameplay. Installation took about 3 min, and that's the end of this story.
 
The multiplayer SUCKED, I'm not even going to waste my time with the sp demo especially after what Roland said about it.
 
Its hard to shoot targets with your guys in the way all the time.
Also, I didn't know what else I needed to do to finish the actual mission, I was just wandering around.. eventually I executed all the handcuffed prisoners then shot all my team members

Eh, I reintiated the download.
According to my very reliable friend, It's a great demo...Nice and tricky.
The AI can be a little annoying, but it's not too major...
Eh, That's what demoes are there for y'know...to see if the game'll suck or not ;-)
 
its a great demo. the AI is good you just have to know how to direct them. they were a little quirky for me at first, but after figuring out some commands and good ways to move and clear, it was very smooth. definately buying this game, even if only for the adv mp and coop mp.

I played the game back in October at WCG and it's pretty fun.
 
I didnt like the multiplayer, too slow paced you moved around like your legs were made of stone. And 99% of the players we're complete idiots

its hard as hell to find a good pub, no doubt. i didn't even bother playing on public servers after a short while. get together some mature friends though, and its great. the slow pace was really annoying to me at first, but after a while it seems like its meant to be for that type of gameplay
 
Just beat the sp demo and it ROCKED!!!! Buying game 100%
 
I wonder...why play a other tactic shooter then Rainbow Six....
 
The multiplayer demo is awesome if you play with a bunch of friends who know how to act as a team.

There was an ad for bliink on a site I was randomly visiting the other day. I had to look twice before I realised why that was significant :P Turns out they're tied in with Ihug, who're a provider here too.

Hawt! (really, it is, somehow... I'm still looking for the connection myself)

Edit - Oh yeah, can we get some minimum specs in the hizzy?
 
I just got done playing the singleplayer and it wasn't half bad. I just got stuck because I had arrested all the bad guys and killed the ones that shot at me. I had also secured all the hostages and had picked up all guns as evidence but the mission didn't end after that. It said I had to rescue all hostages but I thought I did that when I cuffed them. Also, there was one that would only cower and say "I did nothing wrong." and it wouldn't let em cuff him and another was injured and all I could do was report it in. So how exactly do I rescue the hostage?

I got a question about the multiplayer too. In SWAT 2 it let the terrorists set up traps. Does SWAT 4 let them do this also? For example, you could set up a trip-wire explosive in a hallway and if the SWAT tripped it boom they're dead. Also is it team death match style or team survivor style? If it is team survivor, does the SWAT team get objectives to complete with it?

Because with Lockdown's imminent release, we're going to need something else to satisfy our tactical needs. Downloading the demo now.
 
Well, the mp demo was actually fun, esspecially those pistol only servers. Im downloading
 
try giving everyone the less lethal shotguns and tazers, it's a pain in the ass to stop all the enemies, but if you don;t gte shot and get all the weapons you can get a 100%

Actually I did this and found it A LOT easier. If breach bang/sting and clear. If there's an enemy yell at him and if he doesn't comply hit him in the chest with a bean bag and then in the legs to bring him to his knees then he'll give up. Tazers are good for short range and they automatically give up after getting hit lol. I got a 94/100 using nothing but the Less Than Lethal Shotgun/Tazer set up.

Gamershell have got it too, you'll get a server + it's fast :D
 
I think its quite fun. I keep playing through it and everytime it's a different experience.
 
I really enjoyed it, they haven't compromised any of the tactical elements or actioned it up at all (unlike a certain other franchise I know)... it's nothing special; nothing really stands out as fantastic, but put everything together and it's very enjoyable.

Happened to me as well, worked after a reboot.
 
Give all your teamates the beanbag shotguns and take a few shots at them with the pistol, good times.

My first try: 2 of my squadmates went down and I injured one. Then I shot a hostage. cool. It's a bit of a hassle at first buth after a while... it's still a hassle.
