hey, heres a model i wipped up in Rhinoceros:

To tell you the truth, it looks horribly modelled. In a lot of places it looks like there are polygons which are just going through other polygons instead of welding the end verts.

It's a mess. Spend some (a lot) more time cleaning up and welding. If you want some help doing so, post a wireframe and a polycount and we can help you fix it up.

It looks like (to be honest) Crap!

It looks like you just placed some boxes into other boxes without "building a object" just using primitives without welding cutting or whatever. It would be interesting to know the polycount

please take a good tutrial that coveres weapon modeling and learn from it. just forget everthing you just did because this isnt the way pal.. trust me.

jw, how many of u use Rhinoceros? how many of u use Nurbs and then convert it to poly? cuz if u dont u cant say anything.

urrrrr. nurms. On a gun model? unless u are making a very high polgon model u will nevr use nurms in games design. Unless u really lazy and wanna make a round box from a 6 sided square

Nurms for making hl2 models, expecially models = no. Simple.

Also no I don;t use Rhinoceros mainly because its a bag of ****.

We can't? That's a silly argument. Reguardless of the method used it's still a poorly constructed model. It needs a lot of welding and a lot of fixing up. Also, I would discourage modeling like that. NURBS aren't meant for low polygon models.

by the sounds of it, Rhinoceros is a peice of crap, try sumthing different maybe ?? thats seems the obvious choice to me.

rhino is a good program, and i dont care if u dont like my method, i use it and thats what i use so ull just have to deal with it. and i havent been modelling too long so im still getting the just of it.

Did you post here for praise or critque? Admittedly the responses were kind of harsh... but if you don't want people to tell you what's wrong with a model don't post it here.

Just because I might draw a picture with MS Paint doesn't automatically make it a masterpiece because the program has more limitations than Photoshop...
