Teh Best game you've never played (probably)

hmmm i'll try and describe this game as best i can,it was a nes game,way back in the day,it was a sports game but with some unfamiliar gamesand stuff,it was a side scroller,you had bmx-ing out in the desert making cool 360s etc and jumping over dead animals heads

there was surfing where you basically had to keep away from the wave for as long as possible,if the wave got you a shark would come and get you with the typical jaws-esque music

there was rollerblading too where you had to jump cracks in the pavement and stuff

hacky-sac aswell

frisbee throwing, you had to try and get it into the other guys hands ,lol,you had to ctrl the speed and height etc by button mashing

wish i could remember it

T&C Surfing or T&C Surfshop? There was California Games too, but I don't think that is what you're talking about.

Hahaha man I remember there was a commercial for that Mega Drive/ Genesis shock pack where the kid was playing Mortal Kombat and he was recieving electronic shocks to the back via the backpack. Hahahaha, godamn how did they release that? Anyone remember the ad for the Nintendo glove? Lol.

Oh MAN, I played the demo of that at a mate's once, that rules!! He's been wanting it for ages but no one has it

Shenmue (1 & 2)

Tried the first on a mate's Dreamcast. Pirated version with no manual. Hadn't a damn clue what I was doing, but it seemed incredibly deep and awesome, and the arcade in the village at the start had this old Atari came I used to play before the joystick broke. The one where you're the dude with a jetpack, flying constantly into the horizon, shooting anything that comes at you. Speaking of which, why did you always need to use joystick or mouse to control games on Atari? The thing is a freakin keyboard.

Anyone play a shooter on Playstation called Disruptor? Pretty awesome, and really challenging on hard (still never passed the last boss... the president of the universe ). Also had really cool b-movie style cut scenes in the same vein as C&C (ie - real actors intertwined with CG).

I heard Shenmue was fun for a few hours, but then you realized that it doesn't really change after that and is just repetetive.

This is actually a new game by the makers of Uplink (which is another fun game that few people have played): Darwinia

The graphics may be simplistic but it's still cool. I'm not exactly sure if it is worth the full $40 yet but at least try the demo.

DarkStart - funny you mention that game. We bought that game, but we didn't get it. Instead, we got this island game. I forget the name of it offhand. It was fun, but the S.O.S pictures looked better :/

Ontopic - Startopia. Awesome game. X-Com was also a fun game

But X-Com was one of the first games I ever played, and it's still great fun.
