Terminator Salvation - Theatrical Trailer 2

I don't understand why IGN are so hellbent on hiring the most mediocre, casual writers available.

I watched the video review and the two guys doing it irritated the arse off me.

kinda disappointed ,although I have to admit I missed the first 15 minutes, gonna see it again tomorrow.

I've heard people say its anywhere from "its disappointing" to "it sucked"

Sounds like the hype was unjustified. I'll probably see it tomorrow if someone asks me to go, otherwise, I'll pass.

Ive also read plenty of comments saying it was pretty good. Ut's one your going to have to see to make your own mind up. Either way, all comments I've seen place it high above T3, so that will do me as It was never going to be better than T2.

Gotta say I really didn't think T3 was all that bad but I am still worried about this one now. I knew it was going too good to be true and my cynical side seems to win again. I may not pick this up on DVD/bluray.

Although I won't get to see it till june (stupid uk release dates)

Was alright. Not the earth-shattering war I was expecting. Bunch of things were meh. It was an alright movie.

But damn if the Arnold prototype wasn't the toughest T-800 in any of the movies. He just would not die. How the hell did he survive being melted? T-800 prototype > all other Skynet machines.

Not bad, there were some parts I really enjoyed, but yeah, the film was not amazing.

Hated the ending (could have been worse yeah) but still lame as shit.

Well saw the movie, gotta say the first half of the movie is really uninteresting, only when bale is fighting Arnie is when it gets good.

I give this movie a 7 out 10

Entertaining to a degree, but lacking.

But at least one thing was sure about this movie, it makes up for the shitfest called T3

I saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it. I can't believe one of the actresses was called "moon bloodgood". Best name ever. The way they introduced Arnie's T-800 was one of the most badass things ever.

I didn't know anything about this film before I went to see it, other than Arnie not being the lead, so the hype didn't affect me either way. I'de recommend it

I give it a 7/10.

The first hour of the movie felt more like a mad max movie then a terminator movie. I thought their be an awesome battle where a bunch of human soldiers and terminators fight each other like in the prelude of the other terminator movies. But it didn't really happen. I thought Sam Willington was weak as the good terminator, he seemed more like a college kid to me then say Arnold. Bale as John Connor was pretty much one-dimensional in the movie. I probably say the most interesting character was the kid that played kyle reese. Then the fight at the end at skynet hq felt like a rehash of the end fighting scenes in terminator 1 and 2. Then the ending was too corny for me. I felt John Conner should have died only if this was after they started developing time travel technology. I honestly think it should have ended right there. But a terminator giving his heart to save John Conner is lame. But the good thing is that its better than T3. Still this movie to me is like a campy original sci fi movie you see on the scifi channel.

Well, I just finished watching it, and considering I watched the shitty Internet cam version, it was OK I guess.
Like others said, the first half of the movie is very poor and boring. The giant robot could have been left out all together, since it appears, what... 2 times the whole movie?
The only memorable scene in the entire movie for me is Bale fighting CGI Arnie. So, overall the movie is watchable nothing horrible about it, but nothing great either, it's just forgettable.

I give it a 6.5/10

Ah well, I was debating whether to take the lad to see this, now I'm wondering if it's worth paying the money or just waiting for the DVD.
Would you rate it better than the 3rd?

Well, yeah. If only for the fact that this one is more serious. Not filled with corny jokes like T3 was.

However was it too much to ask of a terminator war movie to put an actual scene with hundreds of terminators and rebels fighting? You know like you see in the flashes of the future from the first 2 movies.
Sigh... Oh well...

I'm not to bothered about that TBH. The reviews say the action is fantastic and the effects are brilliant. As long as it's an attempt at a decent film I'll pay the cinema price. Also, I've spent the week watching the previous films to get myself in the mood. Gonna be a bit disappointing not to reach the climax.

If there's a movie theatre nearby playing it, go see it. I myself might have enjoyed it more if I saw it properly in a theatre, and not in front of a computer screen with shit cam quality no less.

For me the most disappointing thing about both T3 and T4 is that they both feel stale and forgettable. Whereas T1 and T2 are filled with great memorable scenes. Just goes to show how important good directing is.

Yeah, they are showing it from tomorrow so I think I'll go an my annual Bonus wage which comes in Friday. I have thus far refused to watch the game simply due to the horrible quality.

Watching both T1 and T2 over the space of a couple of days, it's amazing how much more I prefer the first one now. I've always loved the second one over the first but watching it yesterday I found all the scenes with Arnie smiling and the "No problemo" etc to be rather cringeworthy. So yeah, I prefer the first one now.

T2 is still a good film though. :)

It's actually a pretty damn good movie. Supposively there are going to be two more Terminator movies. It was a highly enjoyable movie for me. And the CGI Arnold was really nice.

Going to see it on my birthday with some friends, should be fun.

I know what it means, Stemot - I live in the North East myself. I was wondering if you had a child of your own.
