Terri Schiavo dead.

Don't know why No Limit's freaking out on me, I said kill her. I was only making the point that whether she felt pain or not was open to debate, and I posted a nuerologists evidence to this effect. I was not saying it was the only evidence or that I am a nuerologist. Nor did I claim to be, or give a medical opinion. I cited someone elses.

My only concern was that it seemed a cruel way to kill someone. I also said No Limit, that were I the judge, I would have ruled to remove the tube.

So read all my posts next time.......not just one.
If you think I was freaking out on you you take things a little too personally for your own good. You cited a disproven doctor and I know you cited him selectively, chosing to ignore the other 7 doctors that examined her. I pointed you to facts and how she really can't feel any pain as the part of the brain that makes you aware of pain is totally gone, turned in to spinal fluid. If you think this freaking out on you then fine, next time I suggest you cite more than 1 disproven doctor and I won't have to correct you.

Yes, the point is that cremation is useless then, as you need to entomb the body, most cremations are for people to keep in their home.

It's none of my business and I can't 'make' them do anything, but I have an opinion on it, all I said was that after everything that happened, it looks as if he's just hurting the parents even more so. They are people too, and love her dearly, if I was him I'd go with how they'd want her to be laid to rest.

The point is that you tried to paint it as some sort of spitting on Catholic beliefs, when in fact it's nothing of the sort. The Schiavo plot is probably too small for a full casket: many cemetaries are like that since space is at a premium.

Catholics have been permitted to cremate their dead since Vatican II which was in the 60s. Before that, they were not permitted to do so. However, there are many Catholics, who still adhere to the old views on this, thinking that 2000 years of doctrine should not be replaced by modernism on the fly.

In the end I don't think it matters much. You after all, dead.

What many do not know - is that you are not really - 'cremated' in that high temperatures are not what renders you to ashes. Your body is crushed up with industrial machinery after being burnt at high temperatures. Thats what gives you the ashes that are left over. Not high temperature alone.

They also remove all the fittings from the casket before it gets torched.

No, it had nothing to do with being an insult to Catholocism. It was as being an insult lastly to her parents. If it were me in that situation, I'd let them have the type of burial arrangements they wanted for their daughter. I don't think you need to attack me or accuse me of things over this just because in my opinion I thought it was not the best choice in all this.

Here's what you said, for your own reference.

"I mean, after everything, that's just one last blow to the parents and to Terri's Catholic beliefs. As a Catholic, we can't be cremated."

GG! Wrong then, about Catholic cremation, and wrong again about your own words.
