Textures Corruption

hi

in some parts of the game i get some kind of corruption , i dunno how to explain exactly how it looks like , also its not visable on Screenshots dunno y, it just blinks with some brown crappy thing

anyway it started to me with 1 of the CSS updates, i get it in Aztec map near the bomb site, dunno what its got to do with...

do i need to delete some file and redownload it maybe?

as in on the player models? sometimes my player models go black and weird looking from a distance, until I get really close to them and they're fine.. but ive found a temp fix. Just go and change your texture detail to medium or whatever, that will fix it, then change it back for high quality textures again. In one sentence, reload the textures.
 
well its not the models, maybe its not the textures at all

its just appear and go away - like blinking, its not on any part of model or wall etc... its like some kind of big brown triangle artifact apears on part of the screen in some certain areas...

but i'll try what u said anyway thanx

I used to get that with my 9600XT. I submitted a support request to ATI and they told me to send it in for repairs.

I got a new one back, but that one had other problems. I think I've sorted it out now by getting a newer, more powerful power supply.
 
i only have this problem with HL2 and CSS , i have 9800XT everything is working fine

i think maybe i need to re-download textures or some materials, but i just dunno what...
