This guy is really great, one of his videos has got more than 13.000 views and has good ratings. 13000 might not be even close to other videos but in this area it is the best.

he has tons of other intressting videos too. Please listen through the whole video. The guy is so funny and smart and logical. He totaly owns Christians on youtube asking him questions etc. Hes getting alot of subscriptions and his fanbase is growing, hes gona be famous on youtube and some day maybe move to bigger things i hope.

Yes because the Christians on YouTube are the smartest Christians out there. Actually the opposite is true. I'd like to see him debate with Charles Spurgeon or another similar great theologian from any religion.
Oh...if your religious, your un-developed brain might get offended by the logic and rationality of the video. If you watch it you might even give up your faith.
Yes, because Isaac Newton had an undeveloped brain.
Oh, and Video forum FTMFW.

You're born agnostic, technically. Without any mental development on if there is a god, or if there isn't.

Well, most realistically, kids just don't believe anything at all, because it's all irrelevant to them.

Yea i agree with that. Atheism may be chosen later by the induvidual.

Uhhh I consider myself to be in the Christian Faith, and I love the new scientific discoveries that are made everyday. I consider myself level-headed when it comes to my faith though, as I try to take things into consideration and attempt make logical sense of what I have been taught to believe. So I think its wrong that you say that everyone who is religious has an un-developed brain and if this makes you renounce your faith, you were headed in that direction anyhow.

He makes a couple good points, I'll give him that, but for the most part, he sounds just as lame as the people asking him questions.

Sorry about that Deadline, i got a bit carried away lol. There are many smart religious ppl, i have religious friends that are very smart. Il just remove that thing because i really dont know why i typed that. Sorry

And honestly, the only thing to find offensive in what he says... is the fact that he's intentionally trying to flame people. Good debaters don't insult their opponents constantly. I learned that a long time ago.

That is false.

An Atheist is someone who does not believe in God.

If you believe in god, you are religious. If you do not hold the belief that there is a god, or higher being, you are an atheist.

I find it interesting how some people hear don't like how he bash's religious people, but these same people are often the first to bash the silliness of those who believe the world is flat, or they never landed on the moon, or kathakasungs rantings, these beliefs are equally as nonsensical as religion.

No... an athiest is someone who ACTIVELY chooses to believe there is no god. Children lack the capacity.

EDIT: And to the mods that removed my first post in this thread... I only said such a thing because that's exactly what he said in his video... That people should/would do such a thing.

I think it's a little unfair and retarded that you remove my post, and single me out... when I am by far one of the least likely contributors to people who say those things on these forums. You let all that other shit fly by, but single that out? Please... that's such bull.

What?

Dictionary.com gives us : a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.
All you need to do to disbelieve is to not hold a belief in something.

No, babies are agnostic. They don't know, they have no idea, and if you were to somehow ask an infant if they believe in god, they would say "I don't know". Because they don't.

Thank you, you just proved my point.

To disbelieve is to refuse and reject something. Babies cannot do such a thing.

I've seen millions (okay, hundreds) of people, argumenting over why it's just flat wrong/stupid/idiotic/whatever to be a christian and NONE of them has ever convinced me to stop being one, neither have this guy.

I did have this period of grief over doubting that God existed, however that was not due to those people and I'm over that period since long ago.

At best people like this guy has made me considering what he said, made me think about it. However this guy didn't make me think at all. And he gets no points from being an asshole either.

I feel sorry for many Americans. I mean, sure they may have their reasons not to be christians, but I think that the biggest reason for them not wanting to be one in the first place was not due to their later reasoning, but because schools treat them like shit if they say they don't believe in it and thus alienate them even more from being it, then they start comming up with whatever reasons they may have.

I have my reasons to belive in God and Jesus and people can try contradicting whatever reasons they may be, so instead of having to argue endlessly about that, I'm not going to bring those reasons forward. Instead I would just like to make one point;

Why do you care what I belive? I can live a life just like any other atheist in this world even if I am a christian. I can eat my food, I can do whatever is of my interests, I can be with my atheist friends, even though I am a christian. The difference? I belive that God sent his son to die for our sins. How does that affect what I do in real life except beliveing that this has happened? Absolutely nothing. I mean sure, there are the ten commandments, but honestly, they don't really differ much from the rules of my country, so I can basically abide by them by abiding the rules of my country.

Hey, I can live with that.

You can disprove that the earth is flat, and that we were on the moon. Not sure who Kathakasung is but meh. You cant prove or disprove God... the guy made that point and I agree with him. It's just faith that drives you; though if you believe in something that is PROVEN false... then that is pretty "nonsensical".

Sorry, you only have a limited number of slots of things you can do in your life, and believing in god takes up one too many to be able to live life like other people.

Here's one point, when you delve deep into particle physics and you see that virtual stuff that doesn't seem to exist is creating the physical stuff it sure does make it hard to come to any definate conclusion on what to think about reality.

What do you mean? Maybe I am just reading your post wrong but, you mean like virtual stuff like in a video game world, which doesn't exist, creating emotions in the people who play it (physical stuff)?

nm I think I totally mis-understood what the hell you were trying to say... lol

People want physical proof, but if something operates on a different level, you'll never be able to prove to the people that it exists.

No. It is the absence of belief.

Murray,

The thing is, your reasoning for believing in God is flawed. You do not have good logic for believing in God or good reasoning. You are just as rational as the people who think all the important people in the world are secretly reptiles, ie. Not at all.

That's it, you and other religious people have a core belief which is fundamentally flawed, makes no sense, your core belief is complete nonsense. You fail at rational thinking and logic. If you really think you can object to that, go right ahead.

You say your irrational belief doesn't hurt anybody, well perhaps not. But people like you who refuse to think rationally are the same people who carried out 911, tortured scientists, burned witches. If it was not for Science and rational thinking, morality would not be as advanced as it is now and like a few hundred years ago you would be calling for the stoning of witches.

The only difference between religious people, and those who committed 911, is that they have the courage to do what there beliefs lead to. That's all. Thankfully, society's moral zeitgeist has advanced to the point where religious people, at the same time believing in religion also think it's wrong to carry out what their religion commands.

Atheists have every right to resent religious. Imagine if you were gay, how would you feel about protesters holding signs saying "God hates fags" "kill the gays". Rightly so you would be angry, perhaps fearful. But imagine being a gay, and knowing millions of people around the world believe a books thousands of years old is the ultimate truth, and this book commands them to stone gay people to death.

How dare you believe something as bigoted and evil as the bible could be the word of God and a moral absolute.

What does the existence of God have to do with religion? These people you speak of may believe in God, but their actions are fueled by the holy books they read.

A rating system would get this post a 5/5 from me.

I just mean physical matter can't function without the existence of virtual particles, I think this universe is too strange and wonderful for anyone to be a complete atheist especially since virtual stuff is actually driving what we call reality.

I just mean physical matter can't function without the existence of virtual particles, I think this universe is too strange and wonderful for anyone to be a complete atheist when you see this facet of reality.

Just because we don't understand it (yet) doesn't make the 'there must be god' conclusion valid.

I never said that should be the conclusion :p , we don't know enough yet to come to any kind of conclusion, which is why I can't really agree with people being a total atheist or even fully religious, but it's their belief system at the end of the day. If it gives peoples life meaning leave them be.

Agnosticism ftw! We are all agnostics to an extent, just remember that ;)

What drives you to try and convince people there is no God? Are you trying to help people? Or is it driven by your hatred towards Christianity?

QUIT making comments referring Christians as moronic or ignorant. Just like atheists, there are intelligent individuals and there are less than intelligent individuals.

I am not a idiot, I question my beliefs but I have received my testimony that there is a God in Heaven and we are his children through personal experiences. I can't ever deny that there is a God because of the things that have happened in my life.

So many of you are so quick to state there is no God. Answer me, have you even tried looking? How long have you spent in your lifetime actually looking for him/her/it/them? Whether its the Buddhism, Islamic or any other religion?

Don't you think if there is a God, he would want you to know that he is God?

I love how everytime religion gets mentioned everyone assumes we're talking about Christianity. What about Hindu, Muslim, or other religions? They all need some lovin'

Both.

Do you promise never to call anyones beliefs moronic no matter how stupid, dangerous or silly they are?
Do you respect the beliefs of Racists, Flat-Worlders, Reptilian conspiracy theorists, Muslims?

Not an idiot. But you are not a rational human being.

Where should I look? Under a rock.

Times like this I realise how scummy atheists can be, too.

I believe people have a right to believe in what they wish, as long as their beliefs don't harm the rights of others. People can choose to be Christians. It is not my place ot call them stupid.

I'm in a good mood, so I'm not going to hand out infraction points for arguments ad hominem. Just yet.

Solaris, there are a vast number of people out there more intelligent than you that believe in a God. Is Einstein a moron? Was he unintelligent or irrational? Was he of all people "illogical"?

There's always going to be people that have "off the wall" beliefs. That's fine, you have your opinion about it and they have theirs.

But Yes, you should respect their beliefs. Shouldn't you as a decent individual? I do.

You can't place me as an irrational human being if you do no even know what I believe in. Yes I am a Christian, but you fail to realize there are MANY different Christians, having minor and major differences.

You can't deny something if you don't understand it or comprehend. In placing a decision, shouldn't you know/experience the decisions you are choosing between? You're denying something you haven't even tried to understand. You are so quick to disprove something you haven't even attempted to grasp.
