How did it play for you, CJD? You had a ping of around 300. We're a really global community if even the Aussies are joining in. :thumbs:

Actually, the lag wasnt as bad as I expected, it was quite playable

We need a game organisation forum to do this kind of thing more often.

Right, have d/l'd the BattleRecorder files, am sorting out where to host em with Unfocused now
 
my lag was horrible - ping was fine but at times it was like playing in slo mo
was it a draw then?

i had 2 great rounds and 2 horrible ones
the good ones involved sticking to shaker and jimbo like glue capping flags everywhere and getting good points and kills - it all came apart when i wasnt with them :(

That would be awesome. I fiddled around with the Battlerecorder before, I have a lot of free time on my hands this week, so I'd love to make a couple of movies. :bounce:

yeah lol, i was the last guy left alive and was hiding in the corner behind the chair, you got the jump on me but didnt knife me, i then started trying to shoot you with my pistol but couldnt get enough clean hits, i was then frantically jumping up and down trying to reload stuck in that corner while you were bemeath me lying prone stabbing away at my ankles..

haha i lol'd when you got me...:D

Heh I got a screenie from the same POV a fraction of a second later (or the same second, ragdolls are client side so they vary) :p Yours is however more sweet with the graphics maxed :thumbs:

I made a funny one cause it seems the recorder is kinda glitchy and the ragdolls tend to fly a few meters in the air or have their limbs bent in strange angles:

Yeah, the other ones should be the other rounds in full. Not entirely sure, never used it before myself! Any problems contact me, i'll see what else i can find!

Game looked fooking awesome guys, i really do think organising these community games brings us a bit closer together, i really think its a good idea.

Dead sorry i couldn't be there, i messaged Shaker i think before the game to say that the Mrs wanted me to take her out, if i'd said i wanted to play a clan match she would have ripped off my balls, so for health reasons i wasn't present.

Glad it all went down well, and hl2net held its own? A draw vs a proper clan is very impressive, i think we should seriously consider if this could be taken up a level.
 
From what I can gather HL2.net actually won points wise but the game rounds where 2 wins and 2 loses.
 
Yeah, we both won 2 rounds but HL2.net came out on top points wise. Sorry you couldn't be there Hectic. More sympathetic to your plight I could not be, but you missed a hell of a game.

Personally, I'd love to "take it up a level". An official HL2.net clan would own so ****ing much, but how would we get a server to play on?

Aw man, that sucks... but rest assured, this will happen again. I mean, everyone had a blast.
 
Perhaps could you guys move the time to 5 ~ 7pm GMT next time? (2~4am for me.)

That way, I'll probably be using about a tenth of the entire transcontinental fiber optic cable :E
 
So I tried to load the battlerecorder files under the "community" tab and got some sort of unable to download error. Anyone know what I did wrong?
