The Cure for Insomnia

It's not a drink, it's just awesome-powder in milk that doesn't quite dissolve.

Holy shit, I'll go make one and post pictures if you'll be all Dick Tracey about it.

My father used to tell me when I was younger that if I was having trouble sleeping, then I simply just wasn't working hard enough during the day.

Usually, if I work out hard enough though, (exercise) I'll be too tired to even lift a TV remote.

That's what my step father says also.

However, people have insomnia for different reasons.

For me, it's mainly that when I lie in bed, I'm not comfortable enough, I'm not relaxed enough. I have trouble calming down my mind. It's usually because I'm worried about work, financial or social happenings in my life.

A heaping spoonfull of Milo without any liquid is ****ing death.

Not in taste, it's just dry.

SO DRY.

Ok.

That's like saying I can't sleep unless there is a trumpet blast in my ear. That's a little peculiar, you know.

This and the pharmaceutical cocktail post make this one of the threads that has caused the most real life laughing for me in a while. thanks guys.

That reminds me of 2girls1cup

You had to bring that up

Im never drinking Milo again (Lies)

I use to eat a teaspoon of milo and bread. You know, put that powder in the bread. My friend usually just eats the powder from the 3in1 Packets. Tin Milo imported from Aussieland is still much better tho.

That picture you posted looks like sand.

Milo isn't sand.

Therefore your Milo and Bread is just a SANDwhich.

I may never forgive you for that Danimal.

Wait, what? You guys don't have Milo??? Milo is the shiz but!

I've never heard of it before:eek:

What does it taste like?

Tastes.. not chocolaty but still a taste which is awesome. The chunks are the best part! I really am quite surprised you don't have it. Didn't think it might of been Australian, like Vegemite.

I normally don't worry about things when I sleep, even though some people will tell me my life is currently circling into a black hole atm.

When I go to bed, I'm in a whole different world and forget about everything until the next day.
That's because I live the life of a laid-back ne're-do-well and take things one day at a time. If I survive for one day, then I win.

Maybe it's just your bed that sucks. When I have trouble sleeping, it's usually because my bed's not very comfortable and I'm forced to sleep in an awkward position. I'm thinking about getting a Tempur-pedic mattress soon tbh.

I want a Tempur-Pedic, I heard they are like $4000 dollars. It's much cheaper to get a topper for your current mattress.

If you were reading through the thread, I just got an inexpensive one. It's an absolute dream; the most comfortable surface I've ever experienced.

I highly recommend them. If you want to get one, the key is the density of the viscoelastic foam. 5lb. foam will last much longer and it is firmer.

I got 3lb. foam. It's cheaper. Softer too, but they don't recommend it for heavier people. I'm on the light side so I should be alright. Besides, when this wears out I'll just get another one and put it on top. :D

I suspect 'wear out' means that they no longer spring back very well, not that it falls apart or becomes useless.

Yeah, to go to sleep, i have to 'just worry about it tomorrow.' But sometimes I'm really worried, and so I feel that I have to think about it now.

I also have to keep my bed/room temperature down this summer, or it's going to be a bitch to sleep.

"Worrying is about as useful as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum"

I cant sleep without having my window open, it keeps it cool. Sleeping in a warm room is a nightmare..

'Worry' is just a broad term I used to describe my feelings of panic, anxiety, shame, concern, and even more things that have a comma after them.

speaking of insomnia, i haven't been to bed yet (almost 7am)

I can't really masturbate because my gf is in bed behind me and she hates it when i try to rape her.

maybe i'll try again :)

Well - it wouldn't be rape if she consented to it.
