So, Fritzl has been found guilty on all counts and has been sentanced to life imprisonment. Personally I think the authorities were just using Fritz as a scape goat, I mean who hasn't tried to imprison and rape their daughter at least once?

Truely a dark day for Australia

I thought this guy looked familiar...

OLD SNAKEEEEEEEEE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo

Australia?

.....I'm missing the joke again arent I?

You're not the only one Skaadi. Australia whut?

The guy from Austria not Australia so what's it got to do with Australia? Unless you mean that it's common in Australia to imprison your daughter and rape her repeatable.

.........................................huh?

It's based around the fact that Austria sounds like Australia, and a lot of very stupid people were getting confused between the two, so Fritzl went from being Austrian to honory Australian.

Maybe because the few ignorant people don't know the difference between Austria and Australia?

Edit: Beat me to it...

They should construct a new section of the prison just for him, dig a small concrete hole in the ground and put him in it!

And the Mcann's thought they had the hide and seek world championship.

I think he was hoping for this. He realised he has become the greatest Austrian celebrity of the year, and everybody knows him. At least in prison people ignore him.

That guy is the ****ing devil.

Exactly my point. The guy is obviously aiming for lifetime imprisonment, as it's the best thing that could possibly happen. He can't go shopping without being assaulted or taunted or something. He can't do anything, which is why he wants to go to prison.

Really? I hear they're usually not too fond of rapists in prison.

This is truly a bizarre story, one you would dismiss as bullshit if it were told as fiction. Mostly how no one knew this was happening, not even his wife, for 24 fucking years.

Yeah, I don't buy it for one second that his wife didn't know he was keeping her daughter and four of her grandchildren captive for a quarter of a century. Then again, he was very dominating, so if she had hinted that anything strange was going on she would probably have gotten the shit beaten out of her.

He's not going to prison. He's going to a psychiatric imprisonment.

You mean you believe that his wife knew nothing at all? I don't.

Also, this appeared, in a slightly unrelated story.

I thought Austrasia was near Tibet!

Also, I'm disappointed that a google search for 'the nine lives of fritzl the cat' comes up with zero results, because I'm too lazy to make that image for myself.
That guy is the ****ing devil.
He's the worst thing ever to come out of Austria!

Oh wait.

That's an interesting wording: "Austrian Fritzl sentenced to life"

A person unfamiliar with the language in law and media would find that perplexing. How can one sentence someone else to life as a punishment? What if it had been "Austrian Fritzl sentenced to death". Aren't life and death supposed to be opposites?

Oh Irony. I'm being distracted from writing my English Language presentation by a post on the discourse of law and media. Why do you mock me, halflife2.net?

Edit: Not to mention the layer that the presentation is about evaluative language usage in frigging computer game reviews.

Its a frequently used term in the UK for people / media to use. We all know it basically means 'life imprisonment', its just what we say.
