The history of f@#* off big monsters in gaming

I really ****ing need to play this game.

Playstation 2.

I have a save just for that particular boss, but really all the bosses are awesome to fight

except the stupid tower-dress boss.. I couldn't for the life of me figure that I had to shoot his shoulder when I was on his hand, I used a FAQ. Wtf is that bullshit, his shoulder?

Hands down my favorite boss in SotC. Something about riding your horse at full speed while shooting arrows at it while it flies, then it swoops down and, while still riding full speed, you leap off your horse and grapple onto the beast as it ascends into the sky.

So. Damn. Epic.

Oh holy shit forgot about him. I didn't realize how high we was going to after I latched on either. He just starts climbing fast and at that point you start thinking "Well shit if I fall I'm ****ED"

I loved the Painkiller bosses. So big. It really made you feel like you were battling something worth killing.

The Saviour from Devil May Cry 4, the biggest boss i've ever seen.

One part of that boss got really hard, but it was pretty epic... FOR THE FIRST BOSS!!

Yeah, sorry about the big picture.

Speaking if Painkiller, the sequel, from the Battle Out of Hell, had King Alastor. By the way, if you figured out how to defeat him on your own, you are the man.

Blacksite Area51 had some big fellas, too (the tentacle/worm critters)

^^Could you tell me how to defeat that big skeleton gladiator guy in the Roman arena. Never got past that level :/

You can't have this thread without mentioning the grandfather of them all:

Psht, he was a piece of piss. But then all the bosses in Doom need mentioning.

Around the arena are little fires made of kindling piled around the posts. Shoot these to put the fires out, then he's vulnerable.

Sandworms from Emperor: Battle For Dune? Sure it was a strategy game, but its still awesome to see a massive maw rise up from under the sands and swallow your opponents army (or, when less lucky, yours)

The Emperor Worm ;)

Why are all these giant monsters basically really big red devils? Some are shinier then others but they all seem like 2 sides of the same coin.
