EDIT: and I also missed riomhare's vortigaunt...it always made me think of him as some kind of french vortigaunt for some reason.

Someone posted the cupcake in a bday thread, I used it as my avatar, and my sig is when me, dread, qon, smoke, shodan, and jnightshade went on a spamming spree of the President of Asia pic
 
Avatars/sig might give me a clue to what they like or what they wanted to share with us. I don't get any lasting impressions from the poster's avatar/sig if I already have an impression from what they write in their many posts on the forum. But if someone changes their avatar, I often will read their posts and not realize it was them for a few days.
 
I have an avatar and would upload it, but the size is too large. Its a really sweet avatar too. I made it myself. In flash. Its all flashy.

Edit: Crap, why wont it move. Its an animated.gif file. Bah.
 
My avatar is from the greatest anime movie ever Akira. I don't have a sig cuz i';m too lazy to make one.
 
Ah well, I guess I am stuck with a boring unmoving avatar. If anyone can tell me why its not moving and/or how to get it to start being the animated .gif it is, tell me please.

If the image you uploaded was not 50x50 it will kill the animation upon resizing.
 
And by the way, you should export each frame of that animation as a bmp with Flash (export movie > bmp sequence) and then combine them in a program like Animation Shop to prevent ugly color reduction.

Yes, but I don't have animation shop. Is it free? Can it be done with flash? Thanks for all the help!
 
You can download a trial of Animation Shop 3 I think.

Pretty cool btw.
 
If you can't find an external GIF maker that will handle the color quality, turning on Dithering upon exporting in Flash will help some, usually.

Edit: But it causes some strange graphical errors. Oh well, keeping it the old way.
 
I don't mean to incorrectly assume your knowledge level on the subject, but I just want to explain that GIFs have a limit of 256 colors. When Flash exports, it uses a default palette of 256 general colors, from all across the rainbow. This is in almost all cases very impractical, as you can see the only colors you are using are green and blue. Animation Shop creates a custom palette with only the colors needed in the GIF to give a far more richer look, probably enough colors to pull off that smooth gradient blue in the background.

You could hand the BMP sequence or the Flash file to me and I'll gladly do the conversion for you.

I stole this avatar from someone here on the boards after they stopped using it. I inverted it because it was a "Invert your avatar" day some months back. I havent changed it back because im much too lazy.

Im still wondering if anyone even recognizes me yet. For some reason I feel that everything I post on here is missed by everyone :(

Oh... my sig. Well, I am a member of 3DBuzz.com and am trying to support them by telling people about their *FREE* videos (:P). I think the quote is self explainatory, and below that is the "F**K EA" trend I started, with an additional "F**K SONY".
