The Run
The Run is a cross between the old west and today's modern society. Players play the roles of vigilantes, anti-heros bent on their own survival. With a virtually lawless world, these vigilantes continue to wage their own brutal wars with each other. Natural resources such as water and gasoline become scarce as vigilante gangs seize them. If you are thirsty, you'd have to fight for a drink or if you are lucky, you'll be amongst the fortunate ones who control a water well. Vehicles are highly favoured in the gang lands as they are a quick means to a distant location. Each gang have their vehicles (mainly trucks)outfitted with things such as off-roading tires and suspension to mounted machine guns and mortars. Their vehicles, over time, have become their home. Each vigilante has a certain respect for their vehicle, thus opening up a new game play element for players. As a vigilante, a player is able to walk on foot or jump into their vehicle to fight anyone on the battlefield. Temporary alliances can be forged when in battle, especially when there is a dominated enemy who manages to kill everyone in his path. The alliance enables players gang up on devastating enemies and collect shared resources. An alliance can be ended just as easy as it started, thus allowing two previous allies to eradicate each other.
Each game will be split up into three rounds. After each round the player can equip and upgrade their vehicle with their gathered resources and money. A time limit will count down and when it does the next round begins, cancelling all current upgrades. Every player begins as a lone wolf, in a specialized part of the map. Gas stations and water wells which are scattered across the map, become objectives for each player. A player can be given up to 5 objectives, which they must complete in order to be considered the winner of the round. If two or more players finish at the same time, the round turns into a traditional death match and will end when only one remains.
When a player upgrades their vehicle, they will have a wide array of areas to improve their vehicle in. Everything from iron plates for extra armor to bigger tires for rough terrain, can be added, giving each player some diversity. Every player is essentially their own engineer and can fix their vehicle in the field. If their vehicle blows up, the player must retrieve "parts" from various areas in the map to fully reconstruct their vehicle. The time to fix a damaged vehicle ranges depending on the damage done. If a tire is completely blown off, simply jumping out and hitting the "Repair" key will fix the tire at the cost of money.

Well there is a brief description of what I'm aiming for. A detailed back story is still in development. At the moment I'm seeking conceptual artists. If you are interested and would like to know more please PM me or post here.
