It can be simplified, very much so. It's not that difficult, and if you're investing petty money (very small, individual investments in futures that you like yourself) it's super simplistic. I think you need 2 read up on the subject before you go wasting you money, I have been trying to read up on it but am still not going to invest yet as I dont have a clue.

The Stock Market is not for people who want to invest $200. Account for transaction fees, taxation and so on and you really didn't make that much at the end of the day, even if the company(s) did well. Word of advice: stick to a mutual fund until you can invest real money in the stock market.

friend of mine put 16000 guilders (dno how much euros, the half or something) in Versatel, it was the money he got when his mom died of cancer
im not sure if he lost more then 2000 or if he only has 2000 left
anyway he lost a lot but you didnt see him making a thread about it
