I decided to go back into Half-Life 2 and talk with the All knowing Vortigaunt again.

I heard him say "We have lost all dear to us."

When you guys/gals heard him say that, did you immediatly think there used to be female vortigaunts?

Thus they are a dieing race if females were required for reproduction. I bet Ninlilth (Spelled right?) has something to do with it. Enslaving them, then destroying the female counterparts to ensure they will not overpower him. It could also be the doing of the Combine as well.

It would be interesting if there were more clues to their home planet, etc.
