Holy ****. I just learned about this today.

Them Crooked Vultures is a hardrock super group formed in 2009. Featuring Josh Homme(Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) on vocals and guitar, John Paul Jones(Led Zeppelin) on bass and Dave Grohl(Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums. They've played two shows so far and have only released clips of their single. Their album titled "Deserve the Future" is slated for release within the next few months.

I'm so excited.

Wow that's the best collision of musicians ive ever seen. Not that much into Queens of the Stone age though. Still this looks interesting

I hate the second half of that clip, but I love the first. Thus I am ambivalent about the superness of this group and withhold all opinions until further release.

Have been following it for weeks, absolutely can't wait till they release the album. God. Damn.

Holy ****.

I'm taking a train next thursday to NYC to see them. Can't ****ing wait.

Finally Dave Grohl is going back to his calling as a drummer, and he's ****ing amazing at it.

My friend was telling me about them a month or two ago, this is the first time I've given it a listen though. I like the sound of what I hear from those clips and the other ones on youtube... supergroups are usually pretty meh but this one looks promising.

My friend says he listened to them and that they tried too hard to be a quirky-yet-subtle supergroup and sounded really average because of it. I still have high hopes though. Any news on an album release date?

they sound good so far. id see them, but their tickets for this tour are WAY overpriced ($60 for a normally $30 venue)

October 23 I think.

These guys now have a free single out on iTunes "Mind Eraser, No Chaser". Very good if you ask me.

There is also another song, but its not free called "New Fang", which I havent listened to.

EDIT: Whoops, thanks for pointing out that out lame-o.

It's Mind Eraser (No Chaser). Which actually makes sense.

Love New Fang, but Mind Eraser hasn't grown on me yet. Only had two listens in fairness...

I pre-ordered the album from their site a few weeks back. You get a shirt and an album for $25, good deal.

Album is currently battling with Biffy for my listening. This album is immense though, one of the most pleasant surprises of the year (I generally find Josh Homme stuff a bit hit and miss).

Got the album in the mail today, the day before US release. ****ing epic.
