The problem though Stern is that these groups aren't just targetting big businesses like Mcdonalds and KFC and whatever, they are also attacking peoples homes and cars. Imagine your windows getting smashed in when you're watching tv with your family or your car tires being slashed when you try to take the kids to school or death threats coming through your doors stained with blood. All of this has happened to scientists in the UK by animal rights activists, scientists working on curing diseases that have plagued mankind for thousands of years.
I don't support factory farms, i don't support the fur trade or the ivory trade or whatever, however i do support scientists using animals to help cure diseases for everyone as long as the animals don't suffer needlessly i.e. some of the videos that Peta have released have showed supervisors at the animal testing facilities abusing animals and attacking them, this i am against as it has nothing to do with research.
There are 2 types of animal activist, the good kind that don't attack peoples homes and livelihood and the bad kind that do. Unfortunately, Peta have decided to help the bad kind in covering costs of defence lawyers, etc. What sort of message is this sending to people, that attacking homes and families and innocent victims is ok as if you're caught, Peta will cover the costs of your defence with the best lawyers.
So like i said, i do support animal rights but i don't support some of what Peta do and i definately don't support these terrorists and scum who attack businesses and homes and people and promote murder. My mum also runs a local charity that helps to rescue cats and kittens and find them good homes with caring people to look after them.
