At least it won't be in that tedious town hall format where half the time is spent guffing about how terrific the questions are.

I won't pretend that I think it'll be blisteringly exciting, but quite a lot has happened in the world since the last debate. We've had Troopergate find Palin to be in abuse of her power, racists heckle and bewilder McCain on the campaign trail, not to mention the twists and turns with the stock market.
Unfortunately, Obama probably doesn't even need to mention any of the the most interesting stuff, since the election and thus the debate is his to lose at this point. And since he seems comfortable with a fairly toothless style of debating, the fact that he doesn't have to mention Troopergate et al means that he almost certainly won't.
McCain, well he really needs to pull it out of the bag since this is his last real chance to look good at Obama's expense but I doubt he has it in him. He'll probably just get angry and fiddle with his catheter.
